Let’s talk scarcity mindset and how trust becomes an anchor to our next level of becoming. Subconscious belief work was a huge part of this journey for me- tune in to hear more!
The host opens the video with greetings, a brief grounding breath, and names the topic: trusting ourselves and the higher powers that be. This orients viewers and invites them to tune in to their current feelings before the discussion begins.
The speaker recounts growing up neurotic and worried, then describes how meditation allowed her to become an observer of her thoughts. She explains the breakthrough of not getting absorbed in inner monologue and beginning to notice unhelpful beliefs.
Here she discusses working with therapists and energetic practitioners to reframe limiting beliefs and use neuroplasticity to change patterns. The chapter emphasizes noticing your inner monologue, naming it, and paying attention to the regular messages you tell yourself.
This section covers practical mindset shifts: relaxing to release, noticing thoughts without resisting, and intentionally surrendering concerns to something greater. The speaker ties letting go to becoming clearer, freer, and more receptive to love or spiritual support.
Hello, Cadre. Friday, Friday, noon, Central, coming at you from Minnesota. And it's a beautiful summer day here. Got my morning walk in and it has been just fantastic. So I hope your day is going well. And if not, let's try to change that. Let's just start by taking a deep breath and tune in as to How am I feeling? What's going on? What's happening inside me today? And that leads me into our topic of discussion, which is trusting ourselves and trusting the higher powers that be. It is tricky to do that.
Rachel, so good to see you. It's been a while. Missed you. How you doing? Yeah, if you want to put a feeling or a number and take a deep breath, that's what I started with today. But yeah, let's dive into this because, growing up and historically in my teens and yes, tricky isn't under, yeah, for sure. I was very worried. neurotic is the word I'm going to put. And yeah, I've missed you too. I always love you always have such good comments. And when I started to get into meditation, I was able to see that like I was causing, not causing, but this circus was happening on inside my head of like, oh, I'm worried about this job that I might or might not get.
I'm worried about if this guy likes me or if it's going to work out. I'm worried about like, oh my gosh, I have a car payment and all these bills to pay and budgeting and blah, blah, blah. Like, and it just seemed like it just kept going. And then on the flip side of that, I would go into these really like low points just because I've always kind of struggled with depression. And so When sitting with myself, I realized and noticed that I can choose to participate in this monologue or not. And that was my first big breakthrough with meditation of being the observer and the watcher and not getting absorbed in everything that it was talking about.
And I really started to listen and kind of got a little wacky with it, obviously, as we do when we find something new. And I started hearing like how I was talking to myself, these crazy beliefs and judgments that like just simply weren't true, but they were coming up. And these like illusions and just fantasies, some of them are, I won't even call them that because they weren't great. Like it was imagining worst case scenarios, right? And I was like, you know what, this like kind of sucks, I'm making life pretty terrible for myself.
And I started to dive into subconscious reprogramming and learning these beliefs that I was holding onto that just simply weren't helping me anymore. And I worked with therapists, some energetic practitioners, and they really helped me see that our brains are able to be rewired through neuroplasticity. And I like was very excited about that. I was like, yes, this isn't like this, like, I'm not stuck anymore, right? And so I literally have documents and documents of beliefs that I had that I would like test for them or I'd write them down in my journal and like, and even just silly ones and I've been able to work through a lot of those because I've realized a lot of it was coming from scarcity and insecurity.
And after, I mean, this is years and years of working through this stuff, right? And I'm still working through it often. But it really helped me. take control of my life while also letting go to see that like everybody has their own inner gunk occasionally and people are going to be people like let's let them and the situation is going to be what it's going to be. I don't need to worry about it. And I started to really surrender and like, give it up to the universe or whoever you resonate with. So I'm curious if anybody's ever like, if you've had that aha moment of like, gosh, you know, like, give it to God, give it to the universe, like, everything is going to be okay.
Because right now, I'm okay. Right now, I'm well, right now. I'm breathing and it's fine. And if you've ever had that experience, like, please let me know. Always recommend this book. So maybe I already have two, Want Yourself by Katie Hortwich. It's amazing for self-talk. It's not the most self, like most self-help books that claim to cure or a one-size-fits-all approach. Hmm, love that. No, I don't think you have given me that one. So I'll definitely check that out and see if it's available in Libby.
But Thanks for the rec. But yes, self-talk is crucial. And so that's like the first thing I want you to like think about is what are you telling yourself regularly? Like, can you watch the talker and actually like listen and see like, what's she or he's saying? You know, I've told you guys before that I call my inner monologue Beatrice, and she's just, you know, and B for short, she's buzzing away all the time. And so when you finally are able to hear what's going on inside, and believe me, it is not pretty.
It's not like, they're not all golden thoughts in there. I mean, people would be embarrassed if their thoughts were projected on a screen, right? So it's definitely like, We just have to kind of like watch it. Oh, okay, relax and release. Michael Singer, I adore him. His book is pretty much my personal Bible. And that's his saying. It's just like, notice it, but relax to release. And because when we're not relaxed, we're in resistance. And so watching what we say to ourselves, And then getting really clear on, I need to make this shift, to where it's like, I don't want to keep running this pattern anymore.
I need help to get it out, or I just want to get it out, So then we can shift and rewrite the script. And from there, we just open our hearts and we let go. We give it over to whoever's in control of the situation or to something higher or just to like not hold onto it anymore. Like you say, Rachel, just like, just let this shit go, right? There's no reason for us to hold onto it when it's like hurting us rather than helping us. And that's really what I wanted to remind myself and and everyone today is that we are doing everyone's doing the best they can from their level of consciousness and from their level of what their inner monologue is telling them to do and from their level of are they following it?
Are they not? Are they aware? Like let people be people. They're going to do whatever they want to do. And Rachel says, for me, it's not about trying to change the thought, which was something I'd been told to do for a long time, but just noticing it and acknowledging it, acknowledging what it is or isn't helpful. Yeah, exactly. Like, that's the thing. The more we can let go when it's talking, it'll, it's coming up. It's energetically coming up because it wants to be released. And so if we can, just like, oh, interesting and let it go, and it'll probably do that a few times, let it go, it will dissipate and dissolve and not come back.
So yeah, nail on the head. The more we let go, the freer we become, the clearer we become, and the more open and receptive we can be to this higher love and existence that we're all capable of living and receiving and giving. So notice what is happening. What words you say to yourself, self-talk, just notice it. Can you just take a deep breath, relax to release so you can get clear and shift into this relaxing and letting go? And then can you just open your heart after? Like, yes, I caught it, I let it go, and now I'm rocking and I'm rolling.
You know? So that's what I have for you today. It's crazy that it's the end of June, like WTF, what? So yeah, I will see you in July. I'm excited about July. I've really enjoyed this June talk about rest and recovery and resting as a reward. So I hope that you've been able to get some R&R, but I will see you next time. Enjoy the rest of your day drink a lot of water, spread kindness, eat some veggies, shend a smile. Peace.
