  1. 0:00This meditation is intended to help you relax during the holidays

This is an intention meditation. No matter what time of the day, you always have a gift right now. Inspired by a quote from an animated film. It's important to take this time and give yourself a moment to relax.

  2. 3:05We begin today's meditation with an intention. So an intention could really be anything

Five minute meditation begins with an intention. Focus on the breath. Imagine yourself as the kid in the candy store of life. Take advantage of whatever it is that you really want to manifest. With meditation, this is a reminder and practice.

  3. 11:15I hope you have a happy holidays with your family members

I hope you have the time to really spend really quality time in the moment with your family members. Because nothing lasts forever. Take advantage of the time that you have, be in that present moment. See you next week for our next week's practice.

Happy holidays, everyone. Hope you're having a good time with your families and enjoying this time to connect with everyone. So in this meditation, we're going to be going over. It's an intention meditation. So if you want to go ahead and find a comfortable and quiet place for yourself to kind of take. Take this time to decompress a little bit. So with the holidays, I know things can get a little bit, you know, overwhelming at times. Trying to plan events, get gifts for your whole family, you know, all of this stuff, as much joy as it brings, you know, it also can bring some stress and cause a bit of an overwhelming feeling at times.

So this is going to be a reminder today that you always have a gift. No matter what time of the day, you always have a gift right now. And this is kind of inspired by a quote. If you know me very well, then you will know that I really enjoy animated films. So this quote comes from an animated film, if you can guess it in the comments, bonus points for you. But in this film, you know, one of the characters says, tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, and today is a gift. And that's why we call it the present.

So I want that little quote to be a reminder today that, you know, no matter what, even if it's not Christmas, you know, every single moment of the day that we, we are here and living and we are in this present moment, it is a gift to us. It is a gift that we forget to acknowledge on a regular basis. But, you know, really, this, this is a gift that we hold and have every single moment of the day, every single moment of our lives. So never forget that, you know, every, every time that we have struggles or start living in tomorrow's mystery and yesterday's history, you know, sometimes we need to just bring that reminder in and say, hey, you know, like, you know, this present moment is the gift.

You know, like, that's why we call it the present. So I have always thought that was a really good practice and a good quote to remind myself of. So with this gift, hopefully you have a little bit of time before you get into your holiday shenanigans and lots of food and family and all of the fun stuff, opening presents, whatever you may do on this tradition for you and yourself and your family, it's also important to take this time and give yourself a moment to relax. And really, if we engage with the present moment now, it really allows us to engage with that present sensation as we go through our holidays, because that's what creates those great memories.

If we stay here in that present moment. So hopefully you found a seated, comfortable position. I have my typical Palos Santo lit, and we're gonna begin today's short, little five minute meditation with an intention. So if you're not sure what an intention is, we're gonna go ahead and just spend a moment coming up with our intention. So an intention could really be anything. You know, it's imagine yourself as the kid in the candy store of life. You know, like, this is your time to be playing playful, imaginative, and take advantage of whatever it is that you really want to manifest or desire.

And let's put that into an intention and look at it and see it. And what course of action would make sense in order to actually achieve that? That's what we're trying to do. That is manifestation. So, without further ado, let's go ahead and close our eyes, and let's start with just a couple deep breaths in silence. Become in tune with your body and that breath coming in and coming out, in and out. And we're only focusing here on the breath. All the thoughts and the things that will be coming up today, they will come.

But for now, this is your time to gain that clarity with the present moment. So that way, you can be in the present moment with your family as well, and really make this a memory, a nostalgic memory for yourself. About two more breaths. Go ahead and take a deep inhale, and exhale all the way in and all the way up. Let's go ahead and start with our palms open, facing like this. Eyes remain closed, and hopefully we've created that intention. And with that intention, we're going to imagine it as a seed.

So imagine that seed is now in your hand, or maybe hovering above your hand, it's within your grasp, and you're going to pack that seed full of your intentions. Whatever you desire, just pack it full of that energy. Feel it in your hands, packing. Once we've and we've kind of created our seed, now let's imagine that this seed is put into the ground. The Care and compassion that it goes into to taking care of something, making sure that it blossoms and fruitions, imagining what it will look like, giving it the care it needs.

Put all that energy into caring for that seed. Imagine what it would be like when it finally grows. Really visualizing that seed growing and that plant, however you want it to look, it's your choice. Always coming back to the breath. Now that we've kind of put our intention into our seed, imagining what that plant will look like as it grows on our next exhale, we're going to let it all go. Just let it be. And now go ahead and take five breaths to yourself. Just ascend to yourself, come in tune with your body and really focus solely on your breaths here.

About five breaths. We're going to have one more inhale and we're going to hold slightly at the top, feel the top of that breath and hold fully in and release that breath all the way out, everything out of your lungs. And now let's hold for a moment at the bottom. Let's go deeply in. Let's come back to a normal state of breathing. You can slowly start to wiggle your toes and your fingers, start to bring some energy, some life back into those limbs. And whenever you feel ready, you can slowly open your eyes, return to a normal breathing rhythm, and now recognize how you feel.

How did you feel from the beginning of this meditation, and how do you feel now? And I think the goal here to conclude with this short meditation is we always have this tool. As I stated in the beginning, this moment that we have is a gift. That's why we call it the present. So if we can always remind ourselves of that with something like meditation, it is just a compliment to our lives and moving forward in the events that we need to go into, because it'll allow us to find that moment, that center, through anything that we go through during our day, even the hardest times.

It's a reminder, and we'll find that reminder and it'll become a habit for us when we want to come back and feel centered again. With enough practice, with enough meditation, this is going to be a tool that you bring with you not only during meditation, but in every aspect, in every moment of your life. So with that, guys, I hope you have a happy holidays. I hope you have the time to really spend really quality time in the moment with your family members. Because. Because nothing lasts forever. So we want to remind ourselves that all of these moments, whether they're tough.

I know family times can be hard for some people, but this is a crucial moment for us to remind ourself that this is not going to be forever. So take advantage of the time that you have, be in that present moment, because this is your gift. This moment is your gift. And you have this for the rest of your days, for the rest of your life. So that's your friendly reminder. And I will see you next week for our next week's practice. See you guys. Happy holidays.
