  1. 0:06Anila Adnani is joining Cadre to help people overcome mental health conditions

Anila Adnani will be part of the personal growth community of Cadre. She will help others take control of hair pulling, skin picking, nail biting. She wants to help you open up your world, but you got to be ready.

I'm Anila Adnani and I am so excited to be part of Cadre. And here's why. Decades ago, I started pulling out my hair. Hair pulling turned out to be a mental health condition. I just didn't know it. And so for 20 years, I thought I was alone, I thought I was weird, I thought I was wrong. And those voices in my head led my life. A few years ago, my husband caught me without eyebrows and we set out on a journey to understand these conditions. Hair pulling, skin picking, nail biting. And we realized they're mental health conditions.

They're self grooming, self soothing behaviors gone awry. And together with partners, we invented the Habitaware Keen 2 smart bracelet that uses sensor technology to bring awareness to these unwanted hand movements. And with that vibration, it's the cue to pause, notice what's going on inside so that you can choose the right next healthy action. You're going to be able to find me in the personal growth community of Cadre. Why personal growth? Because I've lived it. Taking control of my own hair pulling condition, helping others take control of hair pulling, skin picking, nail biting, and learning how to use that same system to dance with breast cancer instead of fight with it.

You're going to get those same skills with me here in the Cadre sphere. And that's going to come through with live video recordings where we can chat. That's going to come through with the resources that I'm going to share with you, such as the books that saved my life and got me to where I am today, as well as other resources. And just the knowledge that I have, I want to share with you because I know it's going to help you. I am here for people who have spent most of their lives thinking life sucks, thinking that the world is against them, thinking that every wrong thing is there to block them.

And I'm also here for people who are ready to change that mentality. Because if you're not ready to change, I cannot help you. What I've seen with that living with that mentality of every challenge is a blocker, is that I was right. It blocked me from becoming the person I was. But the moment I flipped it and I said, hey, what is this challenge? A stepping stone to my world opened up and I want to help you open up your world, but you got to be ready. So I'm stoked that you're here in the Cadre community.

And listen, I'm human. I'm not here just to teach. I'm here to learn. I know you have a story that's so powerful, and there are lessons in there that are going to help me. And I can't wait to share our journeys. I can't wait to learn from you. I can't wait for you to learn from me. I can't wait for us to personally grow together.
