Hey friends. Moving the times Up for this week, because I'll be at a conference. Looking forward to connecting with you.
Normally I do this at 2pm Central, but I thought I'd move it up today because I am part of an event here in the Twin Cities called Raise in a Range. It's a good example of working things into your schedule where you can working in those moments of connection. Who do you want to continue to show up for even though things get complicated?
A lot of what we're going to cover today is about how can you continue to build community. One step at a time, is really focusing on some of those mini smile moments. My plan is to be back here with you on Saturday at 10am Central.
Hello, Hello, Hello. Cadre Sphere friends, I am Ms. Shannon Paul. As you can see, I am not in my normal location nor am I in my normal time slot when I join you on Thursdays. Normally I do this at 2pm Central, but I thought I'd move it up today because I am part of an event here in the Twin Cities called Raise in a Range. It's going to be a series of. There's event planners meeting and event planners and other people that are here talking about how they can maximize their events and do some of their fundraising and those type of things.
And so I'm going to be on a panel with some other benefit auctioneers and that's going to be at 2 o' clock today. Hello. Speak Wonder. Good to see you. I was just saying that the reason why I moved it up today is because I'm going to be part of. I'm part of a conference here. Joshua, good to see you as well here in the Twin Cities. And so I'm going to be on a panel at 2pm Central, my normal time that I do it. So I was like, you know, rather than cancel today, I just was like, we'll just scooch it up.
I thought we'd scooch it up, especially with all of the complicated things that we have going on in the world right now. Good to see you, Junk food Junkie. Want to make sure that we had a little bit of time to check in. And one of the things I think is most interesting about being able to check in with you here. Oh, thank you so much. I tried because I'm in front of people, I tried. And so it's this, I think, is a good example of working things into your schedule where you can working in those moments of connection, working in those moments to, you know, just touch base and things that are important to you.
Even though we are in these chaotic, very busy times and all of these things are going on, it's going okay. Do I really support this thing? And if so, how do I continue to do it? And is this thing that I do in my life, is this something that I need to make sure that I make time for? And I think there's great examples of that, like, you know, hanging out with you and everybody here in the Cadre sphere is very important to me. It's part of my mental wellness journey as well to be here. It's something that has really helped with my feeling of being part of a community.
So I am grateful for all of you. And that's also a matter of going, who do you want to continue to show up for even though things get complicated? And I thought I'd bring this up today. It's funny. Our good friend JC Lipold, who you also know from the Cadre Sphere, he's here at this event as well. He's going to be the closing keynote. And this. A lot of what we're going to cover today is about how can you continue to build community, how can you help people in your circle navigate these. These very difficult, changing times and, and kind of get in front of some things that might be many complexities and difficult scenarios, but to remind people that we are here for one another, that we are here to support each other, that we have people that we can call on when things continue to get difficult and that we can have these moments of peace, we can have these moments of connection, and that it's all important.
Even though it seems like, oh, there's so many other things that are going on right now. Yeah, all those things are happening too. But we still deserve to have connection. We still deserve to have community. We still deserve to have support. And that. That. Thank you. It does. You do keep me in check. You do. You do keep me in check because otherwise I would just run rampant. I would be. I would just be all over the place. So it's really important for us to continue to do this. And so we appreciate all of you being here.
We hope that you are continuing to make space for what you need to support yourself and that you continue to let us know what we can do to be a part of that. It's going to be a lot people, and I think if we at least acknowledge that, then we can go, all right, deep breath. What are we going to do next? And how can we do that together? And how can we make it through all of these difficult times? You know, we've done hard things before. We can do hard things as we go forward, and we can figure out how to do that together.
So I will continue to share some information with you. My plan is to be back here with you on Saturday at 10am Central at my more normal time. And one of the things before I wrapped up today that I want to tell you, since it is caregiver day and, and, you know, maybe take this weight off some people's shoulders about doing those things. Yeah, One. One step at a time, is that maybe what might be a good idea, what I'm doing in my house is really focusing on some of those mini smile moments is what I'll call it, because One of the things that I reminded myself is that even when the world gets heavy, there was something like this morning about the fact that my kiddo, he's still smiling, he's still making jokes.
He was asking me about his aunt, you know, his Auntie Casey, my sister, who was going to come hang out with him while I was working today. You know, it felt good to walk outside and hear the kids up the street playing. And even though that is something that seems like it should be a little thing, it was really freeing. So what's your version of that? Is it being able to go outside and hear some birds chirping? Is it hanging out at an event? Is it spending a little bit of time decompressing or putting the puzzle together, whatever it is, you know, kind of thing.
Speak wonder. I want to let you know I ordered some jacks, some actual old school jacks. So one of these days on the live stream, I'll play jacks for you guys and see if I'm any good at it. So find something for that, you know, find something to give you that mini smile moment throughout the day so you can depreciation, so you can let it go. So I appreciate all of you. I'm glad to be part of your community. I appreciate you keeping me in check and I appreciate you reminding me to take it one step at a time.
So I will see you guys back here on Saturday. Be, be careful with yourself because you are important. And the other thing I want to remind you is that I hope that the day treats you well. If it doesn't, shame on it. Not shame on you.
