What’s the opposite of love? How does it show up in your life? Come share your thoughts and stories.
My youngest son was sick, my husband got sick, then my older son got sick. And this is prevention. It is been a doozy the last week.
Today I wanted to talk about the opposite of love, and I was hoping that folks would join and share what they believe is the opposite. I think understanding the opposite can also help help us understand the full dimension of love. Remember that love makes positive change possible.
Whoo. Hello, Cadre family. Ufta. It is been a doozy the last week or so. My youngest son was sick, then my husband got sick, then my older son got sick. And this is prevention. So today I wanted to talk about the opposite of love, and I was hoping that folks would join and share what they believe is the opposite of love. I think a lot of people, the first words that come to mind are probably hate. Or if we're thinking about love as an action, then maybe it's anger and as the opposite. There was people who treated me badly and lacked integrity, and then I came to find out they treated other people badly, and that's when I cut them off.
And in this new situation that I'm in, I'm finding out that there's people that have treated other people badly, but they are good to me, But it's just not sitting right. I don't know if I can work with people like that knowingly. Knowing that that means they pick and choose who they're good to. Doesn't feel right. Doesn't feel right. And as I'm saying all this, I'm wondering, do I pick and choose who I'm good to? I certainly don't think I do. I think other people may think I do based on how I might meet the moment with them, based on.
Certain situations. But on the whole, I try to treat everyone as another child of God, another spirit, another gift from the universe. You know, I think then there are just moments where if I'm not treating someone the way they expect, right, which means I might still be treating them fine, but I'm not giving them the yes that they want because I have to put my boundaries up to keep myself safe and secure. I think that there's a difference there of, like, I can protect. I have the right to protect myself and still be cordial to people, but I don't have to, you know, say, oh, because I lead with love, I'm gonna do whatever you tell me.
That's not leadership, Right? Leadership is I'm gonna act here from within. And not from what other people tell me, but from what I feel is aligned with my values and mission and. And values are a great boundary to have so that we know, you know, like, even though my value is my mental health community that I serve, that doesn't mean that people who have treated me poorly in the past and then coming for it doesn't mean I have to give it. So. Yeah. So think about what's the opposite of love. I think understanding the opposite of love may be lack of integrity as we're kind of alluding to here.
I think understanding the opposite can also help help us understand the full dimension of love. Because love is so many dimensions. Right? So that's what I'll leave you with. Thank you for being here. Thank you for watching the recording. Please add some comments. I'd love to connect with you. If this resonated or have a separate combo. These are the things that I think about. I think my ex boyfriend in college was the philosophy major and I never understood it and now I'm just like, dude, I am a philosopher.
That's why I didn't understand it. I didn't understand it as something you go and learn. It was just something that was me to begin with, you know, in my being. So maybe I'll go read some philosophers just to get a sense for what they say about love and integrity and this idea of leading with love. So it's 11:11. Wishing you good luck, peace, love, strength, awareness. Remember that love makes positive change possible. All the best.
