  1. 0:00I had a great Christmas. Hope you did too

Foreign Post. I had a great Christmas. Hope you did too. Happy Hanukkah. Merry and happy. All the things. Christmas Day if you celebrate.

  2. 0:20Rachel: I'm trying to keep that holiday cheer despite overeating yesterday

I'm outside today. Took a nice little walk. Had to walk off some of the sugar. It's pretty glum here today, but still trying to keep that holiday cheer. Now we're in this weird gap between Christmas and New Year's.

  3. 1:29We're in an ice storm here and hope you're staying safe

This is like a limbo time, and it's a great time to rest and relax. When we get rid of things, so much of life is just letting go of stuff. Three takeaways that I hope you ponder and take with you.

  4. 7:05Rachel: Letting go of unnecessary heaviness is a continued practice

We'd love to hear what you want to let go of. For me personally, it's just the old stories, the old monologue, and just a desire. Letting go is a continued practice. Some of the weight of life I choose to carry in support of others.

  5. 10:42Learning to let go is a reoccurring practice

Growth isn't always about getting more, it's actually about releasing more and more. Letting go is a reoccurring practice. It's a practice in trust. And I know for myself, going into 2026, the attitude of resilience is going to be top tier.

  6. 11:57Growth is about releasing more. Embracing it. So have a fantastic day Cadre

Growth is about releasing more. And I hope that you guys get to release some, some beautiful things today. Maybe burn right on paper and burn it. Do it like outside or you know, in a controlled environment. I'm gonna cheer you on and you're letting go practice.

Foreign. Post. Christmas Day if you celebrate. I had a great Christmas. Hope you did too. Happy Hanukkah. Happy holidays. Merry and happy. All the things. I'm outside today. Taken. Took a nice little walk. Had to walk off some of the sugar. So I do apologize. There's a little bit more background noise than I had hoped, but I hope I'm. I hope you can still hear me. Hey, Kathy. Great to see you. It's pretty glum here today, but still trying to keep that. That holiday cheer, despite me way overeating yesterday and consuming a ton of sugar.

Hi, Rachel. But, you know, it's. It is what it is, and I am just gonna get back on it today, you know, get back on my. My walk and my routine and we can have those. Those days. Right? So. But I know that sometimes being around family can be tricky. And, you know, now we're in this weird gap between Christmas and New Year's, so it's like, what day is it? What am I doing? What are our plans? Like, it's such a weird, weird time. We're in an ice storm here and. Oh, yeah, that's crazy. The. The ice storms are never fun.

You kind of have to stay indoors, so I hope you're staying safe. Oh, Cadre Events joined. I have not seen that one come in yet before, but hello and welcome. Well, Kathy, I hope you're staying safe in. In the ice, it's always a little bit dangerous. Rachel's like, definitely looks Christmassy. They're not. At least in the way it is here. In the movies, not so much. Yeah, that's. I. It's. I'm trying to be like, this is one of the pine trees I like to sit by when I'm outside. I'm obviously not sitting today because it's wet, but I love the good Christmas vibes, for sure.

So I'm glad you're. It sounds like you're probably really, really warm there, Rachel, so that's great. How many names does Luke have? Okay, so Cadre Events must be Luke. That's fine. That's cool. Hi, Luke, if that's you. But anyways, like. Like I was saying, we're kind of in this weird limbo of between holidays. I'm grateful enough to have time off, and I hope that you guys are able to have some form of rest and. And recovery before. Before starting anew. We're entering into year one in numerology and the horse year in Christian, or, I'm sorry, in Chinese astrology.

So kind of fun. Different energy to play and Work with if. If you're into that kind of stuff. But I wanted to. Excuse me. Wanted to hop in here and share how, like, yeah, this is like a limbo time, and it's a great time to rest and relax. Like, we're in yin energy. Winter is yin energy. Very cool, very restorative, very calm, very quiet. And I see what you're saying. And the snow is very. Even when it's snowing, it's way more quiet. And I. I love that because then it's like, wow, my mind is not quiet, or it's like, wow, I am really relaxed today.

It gives me kind of space. Space and room to breathe and feel, to go inward. Right. It's literally nature telling us to. To go inward. And as always, love to give you guys your three. Three takeaways that I hope you ponder and take with you or share with somebody if it makes sense or. Or leave it here if it's. You're like, nah, not for me today. So, you know, number one is when. When. When I've been reflecting this past season, not past season. Well, the sugar talking. Sorry, folks. When I've been reflecting, I'm realizing I'm carrying on.

I'm taking on too much. I'm holding on to too much, really, is how it should be said. I'm holding on to too much. When things in the past have happened and they've either been awkward or embarrassing or hurtful or whatever it might be that's uncomfortable. Whenever we're overthinking something or even just a situation has ended and then we're continuing to think it's like we're still holding onto it. And so I want to let go of that, you know. And, yeah, Kathy, it sounds like you're gonna have a lot of time to do some restorative and relaxing practices, since it sounds like you should probably stay home, stay warm.

So I hope that you. Again, I do hope you stay saf. The other thing is when we. When we get rid of things, like, I've learned as I've gotten older, so much of life is just letting go of stuff like why am I holding. Why am I rehearsing or replaying these situations or what I should have said or what I didn't say in my head, and as a meditator, when I'm, like, thinking about that, it's. Or witnessing that, it's always a reminder that I have to let go. I just have to let go. So I hope that you find something that maybe you've been holding on to.

That probably isn't yours. Like, we. Especially with family, like, boy, I was with my mom yesterday and I'm like, man, I've been carrying a bunch of her stuff and I've put her stuff into my stuff. I've made it my stuff. So it can get tricky. And I invite you to open up to, like, what's mine that I don't need to carry anymore, you know? And another thing is, like, as much as I want to set New Year intentions and I want this and I want that, like, we don't, like, growth is kind of getting rid of more, not attaining more, right?

It's releasing rather than adding. And the. More, like, look at the rich and famous, right? They've got crazy problems too. So, like, getting what you want and having more isn't the answer or the solution. It's within us. And I hope that I can continue to work on this, letting go of things, rather than wanting things to be my way or wishing that I had this or could do that and just kind of dance and flow with reality a little bit better, you know? So what's something you want to let go of this. This day or this season or this year?

I mean, we're coming up on it. It's getting close. So if you feel safe to add that into the comments, I'd love to hear what you want to let go of. For me personally, it's just the old stories, the old monologue, and just a desire. Getting what you want is one of the most overrated things in the world. If it worked, then you wouldn't want more. You wouldn't want something else. So it's a realization that I've come to the past couple days here. So we'd love to hear what you want to let go of. And the last thing in regards to letting go is that it's a continued practice.

It's a continued muscle we have to keep working with because it's like, oh, yeah, I let that go. Let it go, but like, two days later it's gonna float around in your head again. And then what do you do? You have to let it go again. And so Rachel says, always reminds me of the analogy of carrying a backpack full of rock. How much do you actually need? And is it actually yours to carry? Yes. I love that. Yeah, I. I thought of that too. There's a beautiful poem and I should have brought it for Kathy because I know she's the queen of poetry here.

So I'm sorry, but it is, It's. I think it's called the things we carry. I'll have to look it up and send it to you, but, um, it's. It's great. And that is the analogy that I kind of think of is like, what am I, like, carrying around that I don't need to carry anymore? And Rachel says the bullshit stories and holding myself back and speak wonder. Wanting to let go of unnecessary heaviness. Yeah, I'm. I'm with you too. Emotional heaviness. And also I've just, like, definitely added some pounds this season, which is again, we're.

We're hybrid. We're in hibernation season here in Minnesota, so it is a little bit part of it, but I hope that you both get to release those as well. I. I am here to witness you letting go of that, and I'm gonna cheer you on as you continue to let go of it. And some. Some of the weight of life I choose to carry in support of others. Yeah, I love that you said that. And that definitely strikes a chord for me as well. It's tough because we want to be there for people, but also I think they expect it sometimes after we continually play that role.

So sometimes setting a new boundary or breaking away in a different way is a difficult task. And so I hope that you're able to set that boundary and figure that out. Yes, I'd love to see the poem, the Things We Carry. It's a poem. I'm pretty sure it's a poem, but now I'm thinking about it might be a book. The writer is a famous writer for the way that he describes details. So either way, I'll get back to you on that. I'm sure there is a poem. I'm pretty sure there is. But anyway, to recap your takeaways here, dive into the final recap and I'll let you guys get back to your Friday, your beautiful Friday, Rachel.

And then your snowstorm, Kathy. We don't have to carry everything. That's number one. Sometimes what we carry isn't ours. Number two, growth isn't always about getting more. It's actually about releasing more and more, not wanting as much even to be more content with what we have and learn to let go of things more easily. And number three is that letting go is a reoccurring practice. It's a practice in trust, and it's a practice in your resilience. And I know for myself, going into 2026, the attitude of resilience is going to be top tier.

For me, that has gotten me really far. But I also Feel like I need to like step it up a not so it's been waves and I want it to be like the mantra. So how much of that is supporting and what is more taking on unnecessary responsibility? Yeah, it's, it's almost a double edged sword sometimes because it's familiar. That's what we've done and it's hard to change our neural pathways all the time. So it's, it's this beautiful dance with life and reality that we have to figure out. And I hope that when you guys are setting your, when you all are setting your intentions or whatever your ritual is at the beginning of the year, I feel like everybody's got usually has one you ask what you want to let go of and what you want to grow into.

That like growth is wisdom and anywhere you're growing is all the better for your life. Your longevity, your mind and your soul. Growth is about releasing more. Love this. Embracing it. Yep. Couldn't agree more. Michael Singer always says getting what you want is the most overrated thing in the world. Because if it worked, Hollywood would have no problems. Right? Like or the rich and famous would have no problems. And we, we have to learn to accept reality and work, work with reality. Because life's always going to be challenging or there will be challenges and ups and downs and so I hope that you guys get to release some, some beautiful things today.

Maybe burn right on paper and burn it. That's always a fun thing to do with discretion. Do it like outside or you know, in a controlled environment. But yes, merry, happy, all the things to everyone. And I hope you let go. I'm gonna cheer you on and you're letting go practice and I'm gonna continue to practice it myself as we head into 2026 strong and or maybe aching and hurting a little bit. But that attitude of resilience will, will come back and we'll be able to begin again. So have a fantastic day Cadre.

So great to connect with you. Thank you. Bye.
