Hey Cadre Sphere. Anila here. I don't think I scheduled today. I just quickly scheduled. Thursdays is usually my day. But I wasn't probably didn't schedule because Today is our 15 year anniversary. My husband light. So yeah, we're just trying to figure out some stuff. Hey, Larry T. So I'm Anila. I'm tucked away in my closet right now and I wasn't supposed to do my live this week because it's our 15 year anniversary. Except my husband and I are supposed to go away tomorrow for two nights for our anniversary.

And so today was just like, you know, not really celebration. It was just like clean the house and try to prep for that. But now our 8 year old has a fever. And so. Hi Shannon. And so my topic that I wrote down for tonight is magical thinking or manifestation. And here's the thing, like for the last month my head has been like, I hope nothing happens so that this weekend gets messed up. I hope nothing happens so that this weekend gets messed up. And then here it is that my 8 year old has a fever and I don't know what to do.

And we're like trying to call the hotel, we're trying to see if we can get the flights rebooked. We're trying to do all this stuff. What does this have to do with leading with love? Well, I think ultimately it's about love is sometimes about putting other people's needs ahead of your own. So as much as I've been looking forward to this beautiful vacation, this two nights away to just like decompress and be on our own and in the middle of nature, my kiddo needs me, right? And there's something to this idea of like, you know, I was talking to my mom and she was like, well, you know, if it was their kid, you know, we have plans.

That one kid was gonna stay with our neighbors pointing that way because they live literally right across the street and another was gonna go to another friend's house. And my mom was like, well, you know, if it was their kids that was sick, would you take them? And without question, in a heartbeat. You know, these kids are my kids. So I felt okay about asking them to take our kiddo and they actually just said yes. So I know I'm supposed to turn notifications off while I chat, but I'm actually glad that I saw that.

So yeah, I don't know. Oh boy. Yeah. But it just doesn't feel right to go knowing that our kiddo needs us. And I don't think we'll Have a good time knowing that, you know, like, worrying about him. So I just think it's just better that way. It sucks. They are leading with love too. They just said yes. I mean, that's how close we are, right? Like, those kids are our kids, our kids are their kids. So I wasn't surprised that they would say yes. But my notifications are still coming through and my husband just told them, thank you, but we're canceling the trip because, you know, I don't know.

It's our kid can't just be like, peace out. So that's leading with love, putting other people first. And now the danger in that is putting other people first all the time, right? And so that's where leading with self love has to come into play. This is a scenario where this trip is cherry on top and helping my son take care of, you know, taking care of him, spoon feeding him tea. And that stuff's just. That's why we're mamas and papas, right? So we can book this trip another time. We can get our time together another time, and we'll do something special this weekend.

Yeah. And then that idea of magical thinking versus manifestation. So in manifestation world, your thoughts become your words, become your actions, become your reality. And so here I am wondering, well, was my anxiety creating this whole thing, right? Like, my anxiety of, oh, God, nothing goes but wrong in all of these, like, plans and stuff to get, like, everything sorted. Like, you know, even one. One of. For my older kid that where he's staying, that mom was like, okay, who is the emergency contact in case, right?

And I'm just like, no, we don't want to think like that. So manifestation is, you know, what you focus on. You create when the universe helps create. And then magical thinking is sort of more of an OCD term, which is like, like, you know, step on the crack, break my mother's back kind of thing where you think a thought and then you don't like that thought. So then you have to, like, do these, like, compulsions to sort of get rid of the thought, in a sense, in the. In the OCD world. And so I'm like, ah, like magical thinking manifestation.

It's almost the same. It's like the same steps in a way, but they're completely different. And I don't know. I don't want to say it. I blame myself for this. And my anxiety is. I try so hard to, like, stay positive, like, every time, like, everything's gonna be good. Everything's gonna be good. Everything's gonna be Good. But to me, I was thinking about, like, the air traffic controllers and hearing about the flights being delayed and all that stuff. And so I was like, okay. Like, those are the things that I'll.

You know, like, things that we can't control. Even. Obviously, him being sick, you can't control. I don't know. I'm rambling. But thank you for holding space as I process all of this, because I was looking forward to this trip, but, yeah, it's just. He's more important, so I think that's what it means to lead with love is to sometimes put yourself in the back seat so that other person takes the front seat. And as long as you're doing that in a way that is not stifling you and in a way that still creates room for you to be taken care of either by others or by yourself, then that's leading with love.

And so love makes change possible. I bet you by tomorrow morning he's gonna be better and ready to go. And I will be so happy because tomorrow's Halloween. They get to dress up at school. They get to carve pumpkins with the sixth grade. He's in third grade. They get to carve pumpkins with the sixth grade, and I don't want him to miss that. So I really hope that he's better by tomorrow, and I hope that. Yeah, and then we'll go trick or treating. Eee. We have no candy for tomorrow because we weren't gonna be home.

Oh, boy, my lights just went off in my closets. Sorry, folks. All right, I will get going now. But just wishing you love, strength, and awareness. Take care of yourself. Thank you, Shannon, for being here and giving me these notes of encouragement. I will see you all soon. Love makes change possible. So keep that heart beating. Bye.
