Hello, Cadre World, and today is Wednesday. And not only is it Wednesday, it's going to be an amazing Wednesday for us. I am Dr. Jessica Green, and those of you who usually join me live on Wednesdays know when we come in on Wednesdays, the focus is on mental health, mental wellness. But then it is also on personal. All right. And do myself. I am Dr. Jessica Green and I am a licensed therapist, not only in South Carolina, but I'm also licensed in Florida and North Carolina. I also serve as a LPC supervisor where I supervise LPCA candidate.

who are seeking that full licensure. So we tackle that two year journey together. But then I'm also a CEU provider for the state of South Carolina, speaking with professionals as we're talking about professional development, self-care, best strategies, and then those things where we're making sure we're doing what's in the best interest for our clients. But today, We are focusing again on that psychological safety and our ability to be our true, authentic self. All right. So if you are listening right now, whether you're in your car, whether you're in your office, whether you are on that morning walk with your children or even your animals, or even if you're just taking out that time just for you.

Right now, chances are you are standing at the edge of something new. It could be a fresh start or maybe even, you know, an uncertain season. You know, right now with some of us, we're going through those changes. We're going through those changes and life may be lightening for us, as we may say. But wherever you are, I want you to know this and I say it every time. know that you are not alone. So today we're going to talk about how we can take care of our mental health, but then also nurture that personal growth during that time of transition.

Because when we talk about transition, it's not going to be at. It's normally in those emotions that we feel, you know, sense of fear in that moment. So when we talk about mental health and mental wellbeing, we call this liminal space. Okay. And when we think about liminal space, it's the in between zone where the old is gone, but then the new hasn't fully formed yet. So it's that sense of transition where the old is gone. but we have that personal growth into the new that has not been fully formed yet.

So while at times this can feel definitely very uncomfortable, but it's also where the most growth happens. So when we think about grounding ourselves, I want you to think about how do we stay steady in the middle of change. And sometimes for us, it feels like that organized chaos. we're trying to stay in the middle of change, but we kind of end up like that pendulum where we keep going back and forth, right? So here are some simple practices that can help you and assist you. So I want you to pause and breathe, all right?

And if you're in your car, do not forget, you can always catch these on replay in the CADRE app. If you're in your office and you're listening, can't write them down, remember, this is recorded in the CADRE app. But if you're able to write this down, make sure you get out that pen, that pencil, and that piece of paper. So again, the first is I want you to pause and breathe. So when everything feels uncertain, I want you to return to that breathing because that breathing is a reminder that right now you are safe, but that breathing also puts you back into that moment.

So where there's 446 breathing, where you're breathing in for, holding for, releasing six, we are releasing that pressure and we're releasing that unknown. Number two, I want you to name what's true. So we're going to separate those facts from our emotions. So I want you to write down what you do know, even if it's a small, simple fact. For example, I woke up today. I have people who care about me. I've overcome challenges before because I want us to remember we were made for a time like this. So we are going to write down what will happen and not what may happen.

And third, I want you to give yourself permission. And that's so important because it's okay not to have all the answers, right? And when we think about growth, growth is a process and it's not a single moment. Growth is a process and it is not a single moment. when we are reframing new beginnings, I want you to think about this. What if we saw new beginnings not as a threat, but as an invitation? So when we look at transitions, right, each transition gives us a chance to discover who we are, to set new boundaries, but then to chase long delayed dreams.

Sometimes we may think, oh, it's not going to happen to me. It's going to happen. And it may not be right now, but it doesn't mean that it's not going to happen. So when we think about personal growth, personal growth doesn't happen in perfect conditions. It happens when we're stretched, it happens when we're challenged, and it happens when we're willing to step into the unknown. So if you are facing a moment of uncertainty, I want you to remember it's not a sign that you're weak. It's a sign that you're alive.

It's a sign that you are evolving and a sign that you are becoming that person that you want to be. So when we think about new beginnings, I want you to embrace them with compassion for yourself. I want you to take those deep breaths and I want you to take the next step and trust that you are building something meaningful with every choice you make. Thank you for tuning in. And until next time, I want you to keep growing. I want you to keep.
