If you suffer from low self esteem, doing some esteemable acts can be a shortcut to boosting a positive feeling for yourself. The negative internal beliefs that we have about ourselves, about the world around us, often those develop over the course of a lifetime, and as a result, undoing some of those things can take a really long time.
