Happy Wednesday, Cadre crew. I'm gonna do some affirmations with you today. And I'm just looking for some music to put on in the background. I don't want it to be too loud and overwhelm the sound of my voice.
Today we're going to do monthly affirmations. The invitation to you is to simply repeat them after me. Sometimes affirmations can feel like they are not effective for us. But sometimes they can feel really healing.
I've been struggling with depression for almost a month now. It's very hard for me to read affirmations like this when I'm struggling with my depression. I'm very grateful that you are all here to hold me accountable. I hope that you find pockets of joy and rest and ease this week.
Happy Wednesday, Cadre crew. Hello. Hello. I'm gonna give folks a few minutes to trickle in before we start. I'm gonna do some affirmations with you today, and before I say more, I'm just gonna. I'm gonna let people trickle in. So I'm gonna get myself set up while folks arrive, and then we'll kind of get started. I'm looking for my affirmations. Music. Hi, Anna. Hello. Hello. Hi, Jules. I'm just waiting for a few folks to arrive or a few more folks to arrive so that more people can be here when we start.
And I'm just looking for some music to put on in the background. Where is my affirmations playlist? There we go. Okay. There we are. I don't know if you can hear the music. I don't want it to be too loud and overwhelm the sound of my voice, but hopefully you can hear a little bit of it in the background, so. Okay, so today we're going to do monthly affirmations. If you've done this with me before, you know the drill. If you haven't, I have some affirmations that I'm going to read out loud, and the invitation to you is to simply repeat them after me.
So I'll create some space after each one for you to say them out loud to yourself. So if you can, and if you're not already, find yourself in a nice, quiet space, whether that's your living room, your bedroom, sitting somewhere comfortable, I like to wrap myself in a cozy blanket. If you are on the move right now or in your car, you can just allow these to kind of wash over you. And these will be saved as a replay on my profile. So you can always come back to them. If right now it's not a good time for you to do them with us, or if you want to repeat them, they will live there for you.
I also just want to flag that I am. I'm struggling with some depression right now. My mood is quite low, so I might. I might cry while reading these because I'm just extra tender right now. So I know this is a safe space and that all of that is welcome here. So I just appreciate you allowing me to be where I'm at. And as always, please allow yourself to be where you're at. Sometimes affirmations can feel like they are not effective for us. Sometimes they can feel really painful. Sometimes they can feel really healing.
So however they land with you today is completely okay. There's no right way for it to happen. Okay. My music is too loud. Hang on 1 second, okay? Okay. So if you haven't already, find yourself in a nice, comfortable seated position, maybe legs crossed. I like to put my hands face up on my lap in a sort of receiving position. You can also place your hands on your heart and your belly. Whatever feels good for you. So I'm going to read the affirmations out loud. And again, the invitation is for you to simply repeat them after me if you want to close your eyes as well.
That's totally up to you. Sometimes I find that makes it easier for me to focus inward and allow the words to really latch on. Okay. I am always home. I appreciate every moment. I am alive. I belong. There is nowhere I am supposed to be but right here, right now. I am grateful for everything in my life. Everything I need is already with me. How wonderful it is to breathe, to live, and to be able to experience this life. It is okay to let go of grief. It does not mean I have forgotten. I let go of what no longer serves me.
I forgive myself for the mistakes I've made. I am moving forward and onward from my past. I let go of relationships that no longer serve me. It is always okay to begin again. I exude worthiness and encourage others to do the same. I am worthy of all that I desire. I don't have to prove myself to people who truly love me. I am open to receiving love. I listen to and respect others needs. I appreciate every person who comes into my life. I am deserving of love. I am capable of giving love. I never have to prove myself.
I do not need anything outside of me to be enough. I take care of my body as if it were the most important thing in my life. I allow myself to feel pleasure, joy and delight. I deserve joy and play. I am capable of creating the world I want for myself. It is okay to not have everything figured out. I can overcome any obstacle. I can create something out of nothing. I learn and adapt with grace. I trust my intuition and honor my limitations. It is okay to change my mind. I do not need anybody's approval to go after what I want.
I am a badass human being. I am not what happened to me. I am allowed deep rest. I am supposed to be here. I belong. I matter. I am wanted here. If your eyes are closed, you can gently flutter them open. Take a few deep, cleansing breaths. Maybe give yourself a hug. Thank yourself for showing up for you, for honoring what you need, for being gentle with yourself. If you joined the live midway through, I just let folks know I've been struggling with depression for almost a month now, and it's very hard for me to read affirmations like this when I'm struggling with my depression.
My brain tells me not to. It's like even though I know, like, my true self knows that these are things that will help. My brain kind of gets into a headspace of not being identified with or attaching to feeling sad. But it's very hard to get motivated to even just sit down and read a list like this. So I'm very grateful that you are all here to hold me accountable, because I think I needed to read a lot of these today. And I'm just very. I'm very grateful that you're all here and to have this space to show up however I am.
And I hope that you always feel like you can show up however you are, because life is so crazy and weird and unpredictable, and sometimes it's really hard. So I just want to say thank you for being here. And that's about all I have planned for today. That's the capacity I have for today. So thank. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for allowing me to show up. And I can't wait to see you next week. I hope that you find pockets of joy and rest and ease this week, because you deserve it. You are all beautiful human beings, and I'm very lucky to share this space with you.
I will see you next week. Same time, same place. Bye. Cadre for.
