  1. 0:00Nick the poet gives some motivational tips to help you change your thinking

Nick: I'm going some old school motivational speaking today. I definitely believe there is a thing called toxic positivity. It can help to have that shift to, to the positive. Take what you can from this and leave the rest.

  2. 1:31Start every day with a simple but powerful declaration of positivity

Today, I want you to start with a simple but powerful declaration. This is the best day of my life. Imagine waking up every day feeling this surge of positivity. It's a mindset shift that can change the course of your life.

  3. 3:22Living with intention and impact can transform obstacles and setbacks into opportunities

So this is something I've been thinking more about living with intention and impact. As the great Wayne Dyer said, our intention creates our reality. Let your intentions be bold, let them be pure, and let them resonate with the impact that you want to have on the world.

  4. 5:27Refuse to be discouraged. And so often, you know, we'll get into modes of discouragement

Refuse to be discouraged. Today, like every day, holds infinite possibilities. Build your life with intention, embrace each challenge with curiosity. Let your actions create profound impacts with that intention.

  5. 6:15What is your job on the planet? What is your purpose

What is my job on the planet? With a capital. That comes from John Kabat Zinn. What is your purpose? You know, and it can be very simple thing. And it can change by the day.

  6. 6:54Next up is worry is the cancer, and hope is the answer

Next up is worry is the cancer, and hope is the answer. Let go of that worry as much as you can. tied into this, let go of your perfectionism and become one with the universe. Have an awesome day, Cadre.

Hi, folks. How you doing? My name is Nick the poet. Thank you so much for taking a walk with me today. I appreciate you joining my live stream. You'll notice that I'm not doing my usual walk outside in the office today, but still wanted to share some stuff with you. Maybe you're taking a walk, maybe you're going around the block. Maybe you're going around your kitchen. Either way, just take this moment to decompress a little bit, listen in and change your thoughts. So I'm going to kick it with a little bit of old school motivational speaker today.

Now, I definitely believe there is a thing called toxic positivity. It definitely exists. We don't want to ignore our problems, but it can help to have that shift to, to the positive. So I'm gonna give you some positive thoughts and ways of thinking. And so, yeah, take what you can from this and leave the rest. I did get some help from AI to write this, so just letting you know that I think that's good AI etiquette, but these are just some ideas that I've been thinking about over the past week. And so this is some just classic motivation.

Katie, thank you for joining. Thank you. I'm going some old school motivational speaking today. Hey, speak wonder. Thank you for joining. So here it goes. Today, I want you to start with a simple but powerful declaration. And the day can start anytime. So start it right now. This is the best day of my life. This is the best day of my life. How often do we think, oh, it's just another day. This is just another task. But what if we flip that today? This is the best day of my life. Imagine waking up every day feeling this surge of positivity, believing that no matter what yesterday was like, today is going to be better.

This isn't just optimism. It's a mindset shift that can change the course of your life. You see, every single day you are in. Oh, I got some inspirational background music playing on YouTube and it has went to an ad for Chase bank. Okay, continuing on. Sorry about that, guys. I'm gonna lose my motivational background music, but I'll just have to bring the energy myself here, getting back into it. So, yeah, every single day. You really are the constant creation of who you are. This is a great affirmation and I can't remember who shared it.

I saw it on social media like a year ago and it stuck with me. See, I am constantly creating who I am. So what I'm thinking right now, what I'm feeling right now, I'm creating my reality, right. So you're not fixed to be one thing or someone defined by past mistakes or glories, right? Each day, each moment, you have a new chance to paint your canvas, to shape your destiny with the choices that you make. So remember, you are the artist of your own life, and you're always painting with that brush.

You're always making those choices and those decisions and taking those actions that are shaping that reality. So this is something I've been thinking more about living with intention and impact. And so I oftentimes let's it kind of like to just let things happen. But if we bring even a little bit of intention or a little bit of impact into what we're doing, beyond just kind of getting through the day, we're going to add so much, you know, flavor, so much help to others, so many different things if we bring that intention with us.

So if you're going into your next work meeting instead of just showing up, maybe bring an intention, okay, I'm going to smile, or I'm going to ask someone how they're doing. You know, whatever it is, bring that intention to it. As the great Wayne Dyer said. And Wayne Dyer was one of my favorite motivational kind of gurus. And he said, our intention creates our reality. Our intention creates our reality. So what intentions are you setting if you're like me? Oftentimes I can just go to that negative, right?

Oh, my goodness. This or that. I'm worried about this. I'm fearful about that. But what if we set our intentions right, to be positive? Or maybe it's to, to be hopeful. Okay. And so let your intentions be bold, let them be pure, and let them resonate with the impact that you want to have on the world. And so when challenges arise, and they will arise, there's no way that they're not. Especially if you're really chasing your dreams or you're trying to make things happen, those challenges are going to come up.

And I love this, this thought from the author Fuzzaro. He says, I wonder what wonderful thing will come of this? So oftentimes when something difficult happens, I'm like, oh, my goodness, I can't handle this. But I've started asking myself this question. I wonder what wonderful thing will come of this? Okay. And it just reframes the whole thing in a new direction. So this question isn't just about hope. It's a powerful tool to pivot from viewing obstacles and setbacks to see them as opportunities.

So each difficulty then becomes a stepping stone and not a stumbling block. And so this reminds me of another thing I've been thinking about, and that is to that I was reading about, I can't remember, sometime in the last week, and it's refusing to be discouraged. Refuse to be discouraged. And so often, you know, we'll get into those modes of discouragement. Oh, my goodness, this is tough. This is difficult. Then our brain starts just stacking it up against us. Right. But we could make that choice.

Refuse to be discouraged just for right now. Refuse that discouragement. So as you move forward, remember that today, like every day, holds infinite possibilities. It can be the best day of your life if you choose to see it that way. Build your life with intention, embrace each challenge with curiosity, and let your actions create profound impacts with that intention. Of course. So just a couple other quick thoughts I want to share with you before wrapping it up for the day. One is a question to ask yourself.

What is my job on the planet? With a capital. Jenna. So this is beyond our career, right? What is your job on the planet? What is your purpose? You know, and it can be very simple thing. It could be just, my purpose is to read books, you know, or it is to. And it can change by the day. But I think it's an important question to ask ourselves. That comes from John Kabat Zinn. I'm not sure if I'm saying that right, but he's a great author. He writes a lot on mindfulness. He's got a famous book called wherever you go, there you are.

We definitely recommend checking that one out. Next up is worry is the cancer, and hope is the answer. Worry, my goodness, it can take hold of us. I'm a big worrier, but try to just let go as much of that as possible. Whether it's meditation, journaling, taking that walk around the block exercise, talking to somebody, let go of that worry as much as you can. And tied into this, let go of your perfectionism and become one with the universe. How is perfectionism showing up in your life today? And in what ways can you let go of that perfectionism?

So that's all I've got for you today. Thank you for taking a walk with me today, even though I wasn't actually taking a walk. I hope you got something out of it. Just remember, you're the constant creation of who you are. You're doing awesome. And yes, please have an awesome rest of the day. Remember to carry yourself as peacefully as possible, and remember that we've all got a lot of work to do, but we can do it together. Have an awesome day, Cadre.
