The poet here. Thanks for taking a walk with me today. Maybe you want to take a little work break, take a walk around the block. Maybe you can't. Maybe you want to just sit down, you know, have a cup of coffee in your kitchen and listen in. Regardless, thank you so much for taking the time to join me today. And what I have for you is 13 random ideas, inspirations, and insight to take into your work week. So just see if any of these things resonate with you. Take them or leave them. But here they are.

So number one is to practice receiving. So a lot of us are awesome at giving right? And sometimes it's easier to give right than to receive. But practice receiving at work this week. Maybe you're always quick to help that coworker, maybe ask for help. Or maybe someone is trying to help you, or there's a resource available to you, you know, that if you got into that receiving mode, you know, would really help you out. So that's number one. Number two is to let go of your perfectionism and become one with the universe.

So if you don't like to become one with the universe kind of thing, just think about letting go of your perfectionism. What does that look like at work this week? To let go of that perfectionism. It can dog us in a lot of different ways. So how could you let go of that perfectionism? Number three is, and excuse my cold, I've got a bit of a cold, so that's why I sound a bit nasally. But number three is, we become what we think about. This is what Earl Nightingale says. So what are you thinking about at work?

What is the kind of constant stream of thoughts? Is it a negative stream? Is it a positive stream? And how can we become what we think about at work? Maybe we need to change thoughts. Maybe we need to embrace new ones, take new actions. Number four is a quote from Buckminster Fuller. Buckminster Fuller. And so this is a really inspiring guy. Look up Buckminster Fuller. He was a scientist and a philosopher. He created the geodesic dome. I may or may not be saying that, right? But whenever I hear his name, even I just think it just inspires me because I love the name and a lot of his ideas.

And one thing that he says is that everyone is born a genius, but the process of living degeniuses them. Right? So where might you have degeniused yourself at work? What is some genius that you have that you're not sharing at work, that you could be sharing? Right. So how have you degeniused yourself. You know, it's kind of a weird expression to Degenius, but how could you tap into that genius at work and share it with those that you work with? Number five is to embrace micro learning. So these are short skill acquisition times, right?

So a lot of times we don't have a ton of time in the day. We're really busy. But what skills can you gain, you know, in just five or ten minutes? There's another. There you go. Speak, wonder. Keep walking. Yes. Great time of day for a walk. Have a good one. Just talking about different ideas and inspirations to take into your work week. And one is to embrace micro learning. So there's another expression. Anything worth doing is worth doing badly. So even if you only have five or ten minutes, maybe to learn that language or to practice the guitar or whatever you're trying to do, you know, just take that time and see if you can do it.

So embrace micro learning. Number six is gamification, right? So gamification is a way that we can help our work week. So maybe it's a friendly competition with co workers, you know, who can get the most, you know, spreadsheets done, whatever it may be, to add a little fun to it. Another thing is the Pomodoro technique. So this is where you work for 25 minutes and then take a five minute break. You set a timer. That's. That kind of thing is really helpful for me to sit down and eventually get into that.
