  1. 0:04Are we live? Good morning. It is another glorious Friday here in Arizona

Good morning. Happy Friday. It's a beautiful Friday here in Arizona. I made sure I timed the dogs tuckering themselves out perfectly for my live stream this morning. For those of you I don't know, tell me where you're tuning in from.

  2. 1:07Today's message is about how I have been failing at various endeavors

Today's message is about how I have been failing all the failures. I'm going to tell you what I've been failing at and how I think it's derailing all of my big dreams. Instead of beating myself up, let's address it and face it and figure out how to solve for it.

  3. 2:32The first thing I'm failing at is eating healthy

LZ: My eating habits affect everything in my life. It's affecting my skin, my mood, and it's affecting the work that I'm doing. LZ: Not exercising is derailing my mindset. I need to change that mindset.

  4. 9:38Every time I do get dressed, I meet somebody that gets me closer to dreams

There's a ripple effect for everything that you don't work hard at in your life in order to achieve your big goals. Eating healthy, exercising, getting ready and getting dressed, goal setting, and journaling are all five areas that she's lacking in. Start getting back into the swing of things by taking baby steps.

Are we live? Good morning. I'm gonna give everybody. Give this a second to register. Good morning. Happy Friday. It is another glorious Friday. It's a beautiful Friday here in Arizona. I hope that the weather is behaving itself. Wherever you may be. Yay. For those of you I don't know, tell me where you're tuning in from. Marissa, I know you're here from New York. I got one sleeping baby and then I got another sleeping baby on the floor. So life is good right now. I made sure I timed the dogs tuckering themselves out perfectly for my live stream this morning.

So now I've got their schedule down. Okay, so today's message is, first of all, cheers. With your coffee. Cheers. Today's message is going to be about how I have been failing all the failures, everything that I have been failing at, and then some actionable steps or just moves that I want to make to be back on track. Because let's face it, there are going to be seasons of failure. There are going to be moments of failure. I have been failing left, right, and center. And I'm going to tell you what I've been failing at and how I think it's derailing all of my big dreams.

And I think it's important to normalize the fact that we're not always going to have this, like, glorious trajectory of greatness. I am somebody who wants to have an amazing day and strives to just check things off my to do list. But I do know how to give myself grace when I'm failing. And then I think the most important thing is addressing it and just coming clean with yourself and saying, okay, instead of beating myself up, which is something that we all tend to do, I'm sure. Instead of beating myself up and being hard on myself, let's address it and face it and figure out how to solve for it.

Okay, so, number one, first thing I've been failing at is eating healthy because I am so overtired all the time and have this new dog in my life who is a full time job. I have been so lazy about cooking meals, getting groceries, eating on time, eating enough, and eating the right foods. And as a result, I am not nourishing the right way. So I am impatient. My skin has been an absolute nightmare. It's finally starting to heal, but it's still not where I want it to be. I have a little makeup on today, but I don't even want to wear makeup during the day if I'm not going anywhere.

And I just. I just know that my eating habits affect everything in my life. And when I don't have great skin and I have a photo shoot for work, I don't want to have a photo shoot because I don't want to have to do any editing on these photos or have my photographer do that because then it's not authentic to me. So the amount of, like, ripple effect that something like not eating right has on my day personally is astronomical. So I have been recognizing that it's probably what I'm putting in my body.

Good morning, junk food junkie. Oh, that puppy. He's so sweet. He's doing so great. This little bud, he's eating great. It's mommy who's suffering. And isn't that funny how we just care so much about the other people in our lives and the other things and, of course, the well being of our children and our animals. My animals are my children. But he's got me running. That is for sure. Potties. Every 1015 minutes, we're, like, outside. But this morning, huge progress. He went to the door to go to the bathroom, and I'm not really training him in that way.

He's just learning from his brother and learning from just me taking them outside. So he's doing such a good job, even though he's a little honey badger. He's amazing. Okay, so the first place I'm failing is eating healthy. It's affecting my skin, it's affecting my mood, and it's affecting the work that I'm doing because photo shoots are a huge part of the business that I do and going out in public, and I really feel like when my skin is breaking out, it affects. Affects me wanting to even leave the house.

So I need to change my eating, and we're going to get to the changes that I'm making. Number two, exercising. Oh, my dear goodness. I did a spin class last weekend. It is the first time I thought about it. It's the first time I sweat like that in maybe six months. Other than going to the sauna, which is one form of self care I get to do every once in a while. When I am not exercising, I am doing myself a huge disservice. Number one, my sleep is already jacked. So I know that even though I am not somebody who is like, I have to sweat in order to get through the day, I need to change that mindset.

I need to be that person. I need to say, I have to move my body in order to have a successful day, in order to have successful sleep, in order to have patience with my dogs and in order to take care of myself, because in 40 years, I want my body to be healthy and in a good place. And if I'm not building muscle and taking care of myself now, I know what that's going to do to me later. And I really think that not exercising is derailing my mindset. It's derailing my energy level, and it's depleting me.

So I'm failing there, and I've been failing there for months, and I'm not doing anything about it. So it's time to make that change. Number three. Getting ready and getting dressed. You guys, the amount of times I've worn this sweatshirt, okay, I've washed it. The amount of times I've worn this sweatshirt this week is embarrassing. And last week, okay, that is the truth. With all this running around and chasing after dogs and make. Cleaning up accidents and, you know, giving my dog a bath and all the things with the amount of, like, exhaustion that I have, I have not barely even gotten dressed.

Sometimes I'm not even getting out of my robe. Cause I work from home. I don't know about you, but when I don't get up and get dressed for the day and at least put a little bit of something on my face, even if it's a lipstick or a lip gloss, and that's it. It. If I don't take care of myself in that way and get dressed and show up for the person that I want to be, I feel just gross and icky, and I feel like. Like, insufficient in my life, I've got to change that, because getting dressed is part of my job as a wardrobe stylist, taking photos of my outfits, inspiring people, showing them how I'm putting an outfit for less together, I need to be doing more of that.

And even though on instagram it might look like I'm getting dressed, I'm barely squeaking by, and that is not who I want to be. So I'm failing there. Number four, goal setting. I have done zero goal setting. I am playing defense and not offense. And when I do that, I have a lack of productivity. I'm not manifesting my big dreams, and I'm not really, like, having any sort of, like, end goal for the day, for the year, for the month in mind. And Luke will tell you, if you don't write down your goals, you're not winning the year.

You've got to write things down. And number five, speaking of writing things down, journaling. I even have my journal here. This should be. This should have been full by now, you guys, I started this in 2021. It's not even look at it, like, embarrassing. I should be journaling in this journal every single day. Every time I write something down, it manifests itself in some way, shape, or form in my life. I am failing at writing down the words that I want to see happen in my life. And I see what you're saying.

You know, sweating is good. Okay. Don't be embarrassed. Okay. And I'm not, like, embarrassed. I. And thank you for that validation. It's more that it's derailing me from my big dreams. And that's what we're talking about here is, like, how am I feel? How am I letting myself down? And how can I make that change? Because I understand there's seasons and there's times and, like, okay, you know, we have to go easy on ourselves. But I'm realizing that in these five areas, I could be doing better. And I want to take actionable steps to be doing better.

I'm not shaming myself. I'm not actually, like, I don't feel embarrassed. I don't really get embarrassed. But what I am saying is, like, okay. Because I am lacking in these places, what, in the bigger picture, in the bigger scheme is actually going to be lacking? And that's my big dreams. That's things happening, that's business happening. That's if you're not, there's a ripple effect for everything that you don't work hard at in your life in order to achieve your big goals. If I'm not getting up and getting dressed and wanting to leave my house, I'm missing an opportunity by not walking out my door.

I'm missing one person that I can connect with. Because I don't know about you, but every time I do get dressed and go somewhere that I don't even really want to go to, I meet somebody that gets me one step closer to my big dreams. I went to my friend's big soiree at her lingerie store last week. I didn't want to go. I wanted to be with my dogs. I really didn't want to leave my dogs alone. Dempsey's not ready to be left, like, for longer than 2 hours in the crate. But I met somebody who offered to help me with my dogs, showed up for me at my photo shoot and was, like, basically a dog handler for me so we could have a successful photo shoot and now wants to help me out as much as she possibly can and learn from me.

And that happened just by, like, being gone from my house for 1 hour. Getting dressed, putting on clothes and facing the day. What else am I missing out on? By not having these things in my life be at the success level that they should be at? Eating healthy, exercising, getting ready and getting dressed, goal setting, and journaling. They're all five areas that I'm lacking in. So I need to make actionable change. And the way that I do that is to go back to something that I learned from my mentor called the Daily Vitamin list, where you write down ten things in the day, every single day that help you feel successful in your day.

That could be making your bed, eating breakfast, journaling, meditating, calling somebody and telling them you love them, brushing your teeth, whatever the ten things are that make you feel like you checked things off and that you had a successful day. And if you get through 80% of them, great. If you get through 50% of them, great. But you're holding yourself accountable by checking the list every single day. They're called your own daily vitamins. I know that that worked for me because I love a checklist and I love like, something that I can tangibly look at.

So I need to get back to my daily vitamins, writing them down, checking them off my list, and finding the time to do it. If that means creating the puppy in a moment where like, he's being cute and sleeping on the floor right now, but I need to create him. Cause I need him to be contained in case he wakes up, that's what I need to do. If it means calling somebody to come over and hang with my dog so I can get some work done back in my warehouse and not stress about them missing me or feel like I need to pet them instead of work, that's what I'm going to do.

I'm going to call for help, even though it might cost me a little bit of money. So find a way, if you can, to start holding yourself accountable and getting back to the basics that help you have the successful day and work toward your big dreams. Start getting back into the swing of things by taking baby steps and before you know it, you'll be back up and running like normal. Exactly. Baby steps checklist. Maybe it's just that I check one thing off that list for the week, that's all. Then I'm winning because I'm one step closer to being done with all of the things that I felt like I was failing at.

And listen, failure is not a bad thing. We need a little, like, fall down so we can get back up. You can't always be on top I don't think you're gonna have to learn. You're gonna. You're gonna ebb and flow. Peaks and valleys. Peaks and valleys. So, anyway, I hope that this inspires you to think about the places that you might be lacking. If you don't want to use the word fail, don't think about where you're lacking and think about how you can start to make up the slack there and put yourself at the front of the race for yourself.

The. The race against yourself is the most important one. Who cares about what anybody else is doing? Who cares about what other people are accomplishing? We don't do comparison around here, not. Not on Fridays. We don't think about what's going to put you back as the front runner of your own race in your own life. So I love you guys. Thank you for asking about the dog. He's sleeping. I think he's. Yeah, he's under the couch right now. He's so tiny. He just burrows under the couch. Don't worry, he's safe.

And it's, like, cool and dark under there, and he loves it. And then this one is just in his typical spot. He's like, get me away from that puppy. He can't stand him. And then they romp and they go crazy. But there's a lot of this. Have the best weekend. Thank you guys for tuning in. Marissa, junk food junkie. You guys are the best. You're like my diehards. Thank you. Have a great weekend. Love you guys.
