Go away, Naysayers! This week it's all about hearing the noise around you and choosing not to listen. Oh and I have some news I'm sharing that will remind you all about starting over while pursuing your big dreams.
LitTLe ShakY is back in New York for work. It's been 13, almost 14 years since he left his public relations job to go back to school. His message to you today is to go after your big dreams.
Hello. It's gonna be a LitTLe ShakY here because I'm walking on the upper west side of New York City. There's, like, a bunch of kids going to school. I'm wheeling a suitcase. I don't know if anyone's gonna be able to jump in. I tested my Internet speed. It said very fast, so we'll see how this goes. Hopefully SoMebody will jump on here, and I'm not making you guys dizzy. Let's see. I'm gonna try to park myself for a second. You guys. I am in the land of making your dreams come true. I'm here in New York City.
I came here for work. It has been a wild week, and it's gonna be a quick message because I am working right now. But I had to jump on here, of course, and not let you guys down with my live stream, but also just to have this full circle moment with you. I used to live here in New York City, and I haven't been back since I moved here. It's been 13, almost 14 years since I left my really nice public relations job and decided to go back to school to get my degree because I knew there was something more for me out there.
And I knew that I wanted to be an entrepreneur, and working for somebody else was just never going to be the end game for me. So I think about where I was when I left almost 14 years ago. And now coming back here, first of all, I feel like a tourist again. I've got my suitcase walking down the street. I'm like, getting lost on the trains. And I'm like, where the heck am I? But I have gotten to be in the room in such a different way here in New York, and I can't spill what I've been working on this week quite yet, but it might get out there pretty soon.
And I'll just say that coming back here and working as a business owner in the capacity that I've been able to work with the clients I was able to work with this week who are not only national but international household names. I think about how when I left here, I was like, a scared, late twenties, like, young person with no idea what was next. Going back to school and doing something really scary and leaving something really comfortable that was paying the bills and was very nine to five. But now I just think about what I've been able to accomplish in that time.
And had I not taken that leap and left New York City at the time that I did, I never would have been here today. And coming back here just feels really different. And so my message to you today is to leave what feels really comfortable to you. Sometimes if you know there's something bigger for you, because you can always go back home. You can always go back home. And now this new job is going to find me traveling back and forth here to the city that I love. But as somebody who is an expert in their field, that people want to involve in the work that they're doing on a really big level, and never in a million years would I have ever thought that that was possible for me.
So I'm literally taking a walk down memory lane right now with my suitcase and walking to my client's house before I get on a flight tonight. But I just wanted to share with you guys that anything is possible. And you can always go back to something, but in a different way, as a do, as a different person, as a changed person, as a more educated person, as a more evolved person. And it's really exciting sometimes to do that. So I hope you guys could. Hey, Luke. Hey, guys. I hope that you guys didn't have a problem viewing this with my Internet connection.
I hope that the message really resonates with you, and I can't wait to share with you the exciting stuff that I'm working on. But in the meantime, I hope that this encourages you to go after your big dreams in the biggest city or the biggest place or whatever that means for you, because Newark has a really great energy and I've missed it so much. Do I want to live here again? Probably not. But coming back here is enlightening and very, very energizing. So I love you guys. I know this wasn't what I had scheduled to talk about, but I think it was worth it, the departure.
Anyway, have a great weekend. Go out and chase your big dreams. Report back in the community feed. I want to know what you're working on, and I love you guys.
