Alright, good evening cadre. I hope that everyone has had a great week. Alright, well I just wanted to hop on here because I just got back from an event with Charm Social Tonic. Again, my name is Josie and I am a health coach and I am also one of the co-founders of a beverage company called Charm Social Tonic. We are a non-alcoholic seltzer made with adaptogens and we started it as students in college because we wanted to create a healthier option to bring to social gatherings. And so I was at an event for Charm and I just am so grateful for these inspiring communities and rooms that I have had the opportunity to be in and I was just reflecting and I really like in the past I really tended to isolate myself which sounds a little bit funny because I'm A co-founder of a social beverage, but I definitely lean toward more introverted tendencies.
And usually I do really like to keep in my own little bubble. And while that is great, and while I certainly need time to recharge and have a lot of great alone time, I've also realized how much it does really add to my life when I do put myself out there and when I do go to these events and talk to people and just immerse myself in conversations, it truly has added so much to my life and has allowed me to bond with people, get closer with people, and really get to know others. And it has really just added so much depth to my life.
And so tonight, I would like to talk a little bit about those inspiring communities and think about just like have us all reflect on, okay, what are the communities that I am mostly associating in today, right now, and does that really align with me and what I want and where I want to go? And are these communities inspiring? for me? Do they light me up? Do they make me feel energized afterward, during? And of course, like with me personally, I won't always feel very energized after a social situation because like I said, I really cherish my alone time.
However, usually when I know that it was a community that really feels good to me, usually I feel inspired or have some sort of positive feeling afterward. And when I get that, I know that is a community that is good for me and that I should keep nourishing and prioritizing those relationships because I know deep down those are good for me. Even if sometimes I do just want to curl up in a ball at home and read a book. But I've learned that, it can be a very beautiful thing to let other people into your life and build those connections and, have those relationships.
They're important too. But anyways, I kind of wrote down some bullet points of points that I wanted to cover in this live because I tend to jump all over the place sometimes, so this will help keep me focused. But yeah, being in these communities, it helps to expand what feels possible. So for example, I was in a entrepreneurship space with a bunch of other co-founders of all these different sorts of brands. And it just feels incredible to A, even be in that space, like, wow, I'm here. How did I get here?
And it just really like being in spaces where there are people who have done things or have achieved things that you are working toward or striving toward is just really good. And I guess my point is here is it's good to sometimes feel like a novice in a room full of experienced people. Because A, you might not be as novice as you actually think. And B, that's how you really grow. That is how You truly learn and absorb information because there's so much to learn from these people around you. And you're picking up on their energy.
And the way that I like to think of it too is when you are seeing other people and you're seeing their success, and if you keep seeing that and if you keep putting yourself in rooms where other people are having that sort of success, it's a sign that you're on the right path and what is yours is coming to you as well. I kind of look at it as validation that, okay, like I have this goal in my mind. I see these other people who have achieved that goal. Like by myself being here, I know that I'm on the right path and that my goal is likely coming toward me or that I'm moving toward it, if that makes sense.
And so seeing other people pursue things they care about can make your own ideas feel less out of reach as well. It's inspiring. My next bullet point, their enthusiasm can reconnect with yours. So sometimes a conversation reminds you of something you've wanted to try. or part of yourself you haven't made space for lately. So when we put ourselves in these rooms and we talk to different people and inspiring people, it can remind us of something about ourselves that we might have forgotten. And it can inspire us to bring more attention to said thing and maybe, not pursue it, hopefully pursue it.
And it's kind of a beautiful synchronous way that all of that works out. Like, for example, like maybe you've had something on your mind that you've been wanting to pursue, but you've kind of had a blockage there. And so for whatever reason, you haven't pursued it yet. But then You're out and about and all of a sudden you have a conversation with someone and it's about that exact thing that you've been thinking about. And then that can inspire you to finally take that step to pursue that thing that you've been thinking about.
And how beautiful is that? Just opening yourself up to the world and opening yourself up to what could be possible. And then my last bullet point. So to put it into practice. So you can make this practical. I have a little challenge for you. Find one opportunity, one sort of class, a community event, or you could even reach out to someone whose work you admire. You could do this like through LinkedIn, through Instagram if you're following some sort of creator or account or artist, whatever it may be, or even just a friend who inspires you for whatever reason.
I challenge you to just take that little jump and reach out. and if they would like to grab a cup of coffee or reconnect. And just that small act, small, big, it feels big sometimes, taking, putting yourself out there and reaching out, but those things can really pay off in the long run. And sometimes the most beautiful things come from those little moments of us just reaching out, speaking up, and asking. And I do have just one more question for you guys before we close out here. Who do you spend time with that leaves you feeling more like yourself?
Who do you spend time with that leaves you feeling more excited about what is possible? Those places and those people are very special. And that is a great question to just leave in the back of your mind whenever you go somewhere or you're spending time with someone. Who do you spend time with that leaves you feeling more like yourself and that leaves you feeling more excited about what's possible? All right, cadre, thanks so much. I hope that you have a great rest of your night, day, weekend, week, wherever you are when you're watching this.
