Hey, good morning, Cadre. How are we doing on this Thursday? As you can tell, I'm getting ready to board a flight, which has been a regular the last week. But I'm glad that I'm here. meaning Cadre. I'm glad you're here. I know what I know and I care about you. And yeah, I hope you're doing good this morning or whenever you're tuning in. But if you're not doing good, guess what? you still meet the prerequisite for doing this human dance. Even when you're not good, you're still incredibly capable, still incredibly worthy, and you're still probably going to accomplish some pretty miraculous things today.

So I ran the Sydney Marathon on Sunday, and I ran it for American Cancer Society. And about an hour before I started the race, I messaged my friend Todd saying, hey Todd, about to run City Marathon and thinking about you and running for you. Todd, a comedian in the Twin Cities area for decades. I had the opportunity to be a part of his coming out of retirement show post surgery, post treatment for colon cancer and he was feeling good a few days before a show and The host of the show was like, Todd, get up here.

Let's get you back on stage. And I got to watch Todd do a set again and it was wonderful. I had this great photo of him. And so I messaged Todd, be like, hey, it was great to watch you perform and thinking about you, getting ready to go run. You're going to be in my head and my heart. Never messaged back. And then yesterday, after a long day working down in Houston, Texas, I started seeing posts that Todd had passed away earlier on in the day. So, when he didn't message me back on the marathon day, he was in his last couple days of of life.

So I didn't know it at the time, but I got to witness Todd's first show and his comeback and his last show ever. And it's these moments where you go, yeah, you never know when the thing that you're doing is the last time you're going to get to do it. And Todd got up on stage and as comedians often do, took some risks and he told some fresh material, some jokes about living with cancer. And he's like, yep, I'm that guy. I'm going to do some cancer jokes. And the audience took a big inhale like, oh.

And then because it was Todd living in his reality and sharing his truth, it was a beautiful, cathartic moment. People are laughing and crying. And no one in that room knew that it was going to be the last time that Todd was going to be on stage. So my invitation for you today, right? All the live like you're dying and live as if this is the moment because every moment is the moment. The moment for you to live in that one opportunity of life. And it's a beautiful thing we get to do. So this one's for Todd and it's for all of us to go out there and do the things you do with what you got when you got it.

Because you're enough. We'll see you tomorrow.
