How we doing everybody? Luke Wentland here. Happy Monday to you and yours. I'm going live from International Falls, Minnesota. I have a little bit of like swollen eyes and stuff. I mowed the yard yesterday. For some reason it gets me every single time. Good to see you all. Just kind of bringing you up to speed on an update of life and all the things. So as you all know, June 29th left and embarked on a walk from Stillwater, Minnesota to Stillwater, Minnesota, all around the state of Minnesota. There's an individual that kind of like we're teammates on.

His name's Jason Lennox. He's walking the entire thing. I have different circumstances, which means it's myself. And I just kind of like have to go sometimes back home and spend time with my wife, my kids. It's what it should be, right? And so just trying to do the best I can to enjoy the stretch, which is phenomenal. I love it. It's like the best thing in the world to be able to go out and do this walk and have the support from my wife and from my children. So over the last 30 some days, call it probably like 20 of those days.

I've been on the walk and probably 10 of those days I've been at home. And then, so heading into next month, Jason and I had a really good call last night and we talked about, actually yesterday afternoon, we talked about how do we feel like the first 30 days has gone? How do we feel like the first 30 days has gone up to this point? Do we feel it's gone really well? What are some issues? What are some current concerns, da, da, da, da, all the things? So we went over that and that was really great.

And I think it was also just a really good moment of time for us to just be really honest with one another about the opportunity. And so why am I talking about all that? It's like, well, number one, this is really, really hard. This is really difficult. It's hard to do and to have like that open, honest transparency between two individuals. two friends, two deep friends to just be able to share and be really real with one another. And Jason shared his stuff. I shared my stuff and it was great and it was fabulous.

So I just encourage you to figure out like how. how you can always be honest with even your best friends, even where you're worried about hurting their feelings, but to really be honest about a situation. Because this is not easy. I'm just going to tell you this right now. It's not easy. Walking all day, trying to find places to sleep, trying to find places to eat, trying to find places to go to the bathroom, it is insane. So at any rate, very difficult. Love every second about it though, so I just want to share that.

Christy, so good to see you. Happy Monday to you as well, Junk Food Junkie. You're amazing. I love your posts more than anything. I love it, I love it, I love it. Emily says, haircut. I took her off. I literally took her all off. It was the biggest haircut transformation I've had in a long, long time. Just took it high and tight. I went to just have a little trim. And when I went to have a little trim, I was like, you know, just take the whole damn thing off. So it went really, really well. OK. So in International Falls, we have a speaking engagement that's today at 1 o'clock.

So that's at 1 o'clock today. And really excited about it. It's at the college. And so we're going to go, of course, talk about our walk, what we're doing on this walk. Why youth mental health? Why is it so important? Why cadre? Why cadre? Tools and tricks like the ones that we have and the sport that we have through the cadre platform is just everything. And so it's what I live for and it's what I live to try to participate and be a part of. Okay, so now we have a few things on the docket and on the schedule that are coming up for our cadre sphere and we hope you join us in real life.

So number one, on the 9th, On the 9th, we have a refresh event. Think like sauna meets Woodstock, meaning wellness meets Woodstock. Like saunas, wellness opportunities, amazing speakers. It's going to be phenomenal. I am so jacked and excited about this. You should too. So super, super pumped about what this is going to look like. And it's on the ninth. We are the main sponsor. Cadre is the main sponsor. Like I said, this is happening starting on Saturday. I believe it starts at 11 and ends at 4:30.

It's called Refresh, Refresh, and it's by my dear friend Josh Sweaty Letty. I call him sweaty. It's kind of funny. But at any rate, Josh Leddy runs this, and it's going to be insane. So that is the refresh event. I think you all absolutely love it. So hold on one second. I got to take a sip of my coffee. And then, like I said, Jason and I had-- if this thing's going to go three months, we had the really great opportunity to connect yesterday for a while and just talk and be blunt. with one another, just asking like, how do you think it's going?

How do you feel it's going? What do you think the first 30 days needed differently? Where do you think we needed some change? Where do you think that we made the biggest impact? Where do you think we missed? Where do you think we missed with each other? And what was crazy is we both kind of the same thing, which was communication. And so just sharing it openly and honestly, like to be able to-- even though you feel like you're directly communicating and letting somebody know how you feel and where it's at, the reality is sometimes it may miss.

So it's always good to circle back and make sure that your communication, what you feel like your direct communication strategy, really hits. e. Carrie Heimer, who's also a contributor on the platform and advisory board member, she always says, ask the question again of what did you hear? So let's say I'm dealing with a performance-laden issue with an employee. And so I would talk to them about it and say, so what did you hear? So just so you guys are always on the same page. But at any rate, the walk goes on.

It's going to wrap up October 10th. So October 10th, it's done. That will be all completed here at the Capitol, which is insane. But I hope everybody can join this Saturday for the event, the refresh event by Josh Souetti Letty. There's going to be many more opportunities to come. I know that Jen Varale has an in-person event as well, a sound event at the Four, not the Four Seasons, the Wild Rice sometime in October. So that is coming up. I know that there's going to be several events in September.

What I think we're going to have to do is just post. I will just post all these or I'll have the Contributors post them in the feed. So if anybody has any events, local, otherwise around, and you're just craving in real life, in-person connection, fantastic. Let's help you with that. So we can drive that for you all. But at any rate, again, my name is Luke. Been here since day one. Live for the community. Hope you like the updated little do there. It was just time. love the long hair, but this time my daughter just kept making so much fun of me.

So it was, yes, refresh Sunday, 11 to 4. And then Emily, if you know the exact location of that, put that in the feed here or comment on that, would be fantastic. So all right, with that, I hope you all have a phenomenal, amazing weekend here, excuse me, week and lift somebody up. Appreciate all that you do for the community. Appreciate you all do for each other. That's what life is really all about. So thank you and talk soon. North Loop Park. There it is. North Loop Park, Minneapolis, refresh Sunday, 11 to 4.

The Wild Rice Retreat with Jen Varale. It looks like it's October 2. So those are some things that you can participate on. And then if there's any other contributors in Cadre, we'll just continue to have them remind The community of all the live events that are coming between now through call it September, October, there's going to be so many opportunities to connect in person. We cannot wait for that. So all right, you all have amazing week. Thanks for your time. Bye bye.
