Hey Cadre! Happy Friday! It's beautiful here. I am soaking up summer. I'm absolutely loving it. Hope that you're able to get outside. Hey Speak Wonder! It's so nice as a Minnesotan to have warmth and flowers. I've just really enjoyed our spring into summer, so to speak. But curious how you're feeling today. It could be a number, it could be an emotion. 5. Let's go with and I am feeling a little worn down, but let's see. Happy Friday. I'm ready for road trips. Heck yeah. I love that speak wonder.

Speaking of, I used to road trip through Erie all the time. Like every summer my mom and I would go towards Erie and I have family there as you know, but it's on the way to Buffalo. So I'm curious where your road trips are. Let me know. I love a good car ride or plane ride. Hi, junk food junkie. Good afternoon. wanna discuss a story and then just a few takeaways for you guys to ponder. And that is about changing directions and how life sometimes doesn't always go to plan. And for me, I was never somebody that just came into this world and was like, I wanna be this and that's what I'm gonna do and I'm gonna do it and that'll be the plan and that'll be my life.

I've never had a ton of clarity about what I've wanted to do about pretty much anything, only because I love so many things. I have a million hobbies and my life has always been changing. I've gone through so much change even as a kid, like moving very young and like going to a different high school and all of my friends that was in a different city. changed my major a bunch in college. I lived on a different campus. I lived on the St. Thomas campus, but I went to EU of M, just had a very like unusual, and I've changed my career multiple times.

So your life can always change and it can always pivot. And I think a big thing that I've learned is as I've healed, my life has pivoted. Often that is changing friendships, ending relationships or starting new relationships and just seeing that like things don't work anymore because I'm now this new version of myself. I have decided to, you know, change because I learned something new. I love to learn and yeah, woo hoo. That means you're a spur of the moment person. Yes, I am totally a spur of the moment person.

I love spontaneity. I love to just like call someone and be like, Hey, I'm going to do this if you want to come. Sometimes I think plans get a little get a little stale. And when, you know, in your thirties, it's really hard because everybody wants to plan and is busy and has kids. And like, I totally get that. And we need to bring sponsor back. So I'm glad you said that because that's also part of changing directions and things like that. So But yeah, I would say that healing is not linear. When I heard that and saw that and it was in like it was a photo of an EKG, which is like extra meaningful to me because my mom works in cardiac surgery.

So like that's always been like a thing that's followed me around. And I was in a really low point in like my twenties and I didn't know what I wanted to do. I had no idea, no idea. Like I thought I was going to be like a personal trainer forever. And it turns out that wasn't what I really wanted to do. I loved helping people, but like I wanted more and I also didn't want to work for a bad company anymore. So a lot of things transpired, but what I worked on was me. And even though my circumstances were kind of not that great and I was having a hard time, I worked on myself and I healed myself.

I took inventory and was like, okay, what is working? What is not? What feels heavy? What feels out of alignment? Who am I hanging out with that brings me up or that maybe brings me down and what can I do about it? Right? And finding a mentor is a really huge thing. I hope that you've had that opportunity. And if you haven't, please, like we have plenty of cadre coaches here that are fantastic. We also have, there's therapy available, like going to a therapist is very helpful. But really like getting to the self-study, Svitiyaya and yoga is like, really understanding who you are and what you want, what you're here for on this planet, right?

It's a never ending journey, but I'll give you my three takeaways of how I've kind of figured it out thus far. Obviously, I still have plenty to learn and grow into and evolve. That's the other thing is evolving. I feel like, or I just want to mention that at certain points in my life, I was afraid I was afraid to start over, to be new, to start at the bottom. And every single time I did and like fought that urge, it ended up paying off. So we can always start again. We can be the newbie and become an expert.

There's, there's, there's infamous do overs in this, in this short, valuable life. And I'm, I'm, I'm, Speak Wonder says I'm feeling creative, fixated on haiku right now. Ooh, love that. Oh, so cool. You drove through Erie. Yeah, I did. Ooh, Rochester for the Lilac Festival. Yeah. And Finger Lakes. I used to, we used to rent a cottage on Kuka Lake. So I am very, very familiar. I love that area. It is so gorgeous up there. I miss it. It's been a long time. Really cute little towns and wine country there too.

My niece is in labor. Oh my gosh. Oh, is a labor and delivery nurse, sorry. But couldn't be tied to, so she's traveling nurse. Yeah, locums. They make a lot of money and they get to see the world. And I've heard really good things about that and have met a couple of my mom's colleagues that do that. So that's really cool. Yeah, see, like they're, That's a great example. Thank you, junk food junkie. It is, sometimes you like want something so bad and once you get it, you're like, this is great. And now I need, like I could use another challenge or maybe this isn't quite what I thought it would be.

Or maybe this just didn't turn out to be what I expected. So there's options. There's so many options when we are open to it and when we're willing to, So I, I encourage you, like, where are you at? Where might you feel like you want to pivot? Or if you want to at all, you don't have to pivot. Sometimes staying on the course is the perfect thing too. Like only, you know, and that's why that like self healing and self discovery is such a crucial part about, about finding your path and your direction.

So, um, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I, One, taking inventory to just assess where you are and where you want to be. You can't get anywhere if you don't have an idea of where that place is or how you want to get there, what you want to do. It's important. Like as humans, we need to have a little drive, a little goal, a couple goals to work towards. So where are you at now? How can you adjust to like, you know, how can you, how can you get there? excuse me, to get yourself there. Two, healing yourself changes your directions.

It's one of the, kind of like therapy, sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. I would argue the more you heal yourself, sometimes you gotta go through some rocky roads, man, and not just the ones in Colorado. I'm talking like stuff where you're like, man, I am really bringing this deep stuff up to the surface and it is tricky. So just know that like healing yourself can change your direction as you grow and you'll evolve and maybe your needs and wants shift because your priorities change or you have kids, your priorities change.

You someone falls sick, your priorities change. There's so many external life circumstances that can also change your path and direction that you have to honor too. So And three is the path is not linear and it doesn't have to be linear to be meaningful. I have learned so much in the down parts, like what is it, the hero's journey. I've done that so many times. It's like, and every time I learn something new, I come out a little bit like more elevated and wiser and stronger and more resilient. So do not worry if There's a down because that's, everything is up and downs, you know?

So just embrace the ride, you know? Be a surfer. Just ride those waves until you find that stream that you're going towards. And when you do, just go for it. Now for my, Junk Food Junkie says, Now for my wisdom, as you travel down the road of life, there will be twists and turns and forks in the road, and sometimes we need to take the unexpected path. Yes. Very well said. Yes. And to add to that, the unexpected path might not be the path that others want you to take too, right? Sometimes our parents don't understand it or our friends don't understand it.

They're not meant to. As long as you understand it and it's meaningful and impactful for you, then it's working. You're doing the dang thing, you know? So Take some inventory, know that healing is gonna shift your trajectory and just enjoy this beautiful thing called life in its ups and downs and twists and turns. So thank you so much for tuning in. I'll see you next week. It's gonna be June already. Crazy. So enjoy, I hope you enjoy your weekend. Drink a lot of water, spread some kindness and eat some veggies, things like that.

Peace.
