Hello, Quadri Sphere. Happy Wednesday. Welcome, welcome. I will give folks just a second to pop on in here. I'm in a little bit different space just because it was easier for me today. My name is Christy Larson. For those of you that are joining me for the first time, I'm excited to see you. I'm excited to be here. I'm just getting back from a little vacation. I had a long weekend in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The weather wasn't great, but we had a blast and it's always good to get away if you can.
Otherwise, just like if you're just like me, you're going to spend your time doing chores around the house or something that takes away from breast time. Excited to see you all. I have Ready or Not today just simply because I'm starting a new venture and today is launch day and it's scary. It's exciting. I'm thrilled about it. I'm unsure about it. I don't know what's going to happen. But if you're like me and you've ever tried something new or done something new, it can be scary. It can absolutely be scary.
I'm here today to talk about that because that's kind of where I am but if that is something that you have felt or you feel often or maybe never have experienced it is something that for me can be a little bit daunting and a little bit scary and I actually for many years coached people on that feeling of being nervous to start something new or getting comfortable being uncomfortable if you're learning a new skill I had worked at a school that trained career transitioners, so folks that were changing careers, and it was often using your brain in a completely different way.
And that can be scary, just like starting a new job, right? You have to kind of relearn things, even if it's a job that you have had before or similar to a skill set that you've had to use before. It still can be something where you have to learn how people work, you have to learn how people interact with one another or collaborate together. And so it can be a little bit scary, it can be nerve-wracking, it can bring anxiety or a little feeling of anxiousness, and that's kind of where I'm at. So right after I'm done here, I am jumping on with my two co-founders for our new business and we are going to launch a program and we're really excited about it.
We've been working on it for quite some time, but this is a new venture for us. So we are crossing our fingers and we are diving into kind of a community of practice space where people are going to collaborate and learn together in an experiential way. And we're hopeful that people will see the impact. We know the impact it has because we've done it before, but we are hoping that people will join us and make workplaces and people problems a little bit easier to solve. And so that is the hope. We'll see what happens, but that's what we're doing today.
And I would love to hear if you're starting something new, what you have going on. I know for many of us it is fear of the unknown and not knowing what you're kind of walking into and if it's going to work or not work and knowing what to do after, thinking about what if it doesn't and where do we go from there. That's the space that I'm in right now of what if it doesn't work and where do we go from there. But I don't want to be there. I want to be in the space of like, I'm really excited this is going to take off and it's going to make workplaces better.
It's going to make solving people problems better and have an impact on all of those things. That's kind of the gist of what I have for you today. Like I said, my headspace is a little out there today just simply because we are launching something new and we're trying something different and we're going to do it together and we're going to hold hands and I'll be in support of one another. But I wanted to share that with you today just simply because if you've been in that space, if you are in that space, I relate, I'm with you.
understand the feelings that come with that and it can be pure excitement, right? Maybe you know the launch is going to go really well, but there's a lot of emotions that can come with starting something new, whether it's a new project or going back to school or starting a new job or for us launching something that we are trying for the very first time. So I am here in your corner. I am cheering you on. If that is something that you are going through, I would appreciate you cheering me on if you can.
as we experience this new space. But I thank you for joining me. I know, like I said, my brain space is a little bit limited today. Came back from vacation and kind of hit the ground running with this launch and also coming back to my full-time job. So trying to figure it all out at once, but I appreciate you coming today. I appreciate you being part of this and know that I'm cheering you on. If this is something that you are experiencing or have experienced. And I really thank you for joining me today to listen to my rant and my rave about being ready or not, right?
So take care. Cadres for you. Be well and try it. You might like it. You never know. Have a great rest of your day, everybody. Cross your fingers.
