Hi, cadre spear. Hello and welcome. Come on in settle in (affirmative) heavy Wednesday. I was with you on Friday. So it seems like this came faster than. Um, than it usually does from week to week. Usually I'm here every Wednesday, but since I had to switch it to. Friday last week. It's only been a few days since I've been with you. So. Um, as you all know, I get really excited to come and hang out with the cadre sphere. Wonderful. Supportive inclusive community. Um, my name is Christy Larson. I'm coming to you live right now from Egan, Minnesota.

Uh, where the sun is shining. It's actually going to be a gorgeous day. I just went down and, uh, picked up my garbage can stone at the street it's garbage day. And. Man is it nice out? So I gotta get myself out there and. Um, go for a walk or get some fresh air as, as we all know that that can, that can lighten the lighten, the load, lighten the spirits. Spirits, um, and is always a good thing to do. So. I hope you all are having a great week. Uh, I on a scale of one to 10, my I'm having a seven week.

Uh, I had a big event last week that hosted over 600 people. And this week is an unwind week, but my body is. Still reeling from, um, the anticipation and the excitement of that day. And also trying to, uh, recover from being on my feet all day and running around. So. I am at a seven this week, which I think is pretty darn good. So, um, share if you want, where you're at one to 10 where you're at this week. Uh, I know we're all in different spaces. We all have different things going on and. Um, so we're here to support one another, right?

Absolutely. Um, I was thinking about. This, this thought of the invisible impact, uh, the other day. Uh, because I had someone who took credit for something that I did. And, uh, it doesn't, I mean, it. This is gonna come across. Like I am angry about it. I'm not, I'm not angry about it. Um, I think the thing that, the thing that it kind of brought to my attention was that we do this thing sometimes where we may other. Others feel really good, or we give others credit for something that maybe we did.

In order to, um, have them be seen in good light or. Um, have them, you know, get that raise or get that praise from their boss or their peers or. Whatever that might be. And it, and it is kind of an invisible impact, right. You're having an impact, but it's not necessarily something that. Um, you're looking for credit on, or you're looking to take credit on, but when this happened to me the other day, I immediately thought no, you didn't do that thing. I did that thing right. And my, in my brain.

And. It hurt just to smidge, right, right away. Cuz I was like, wait a minute, this doesn't, this isn't right, right. We're we're and then I thought to myself, maybe they needed that. Praise more in the moment than I did. And I was okay with that. Right. I think that's where the invisible impact kind of came into play of. It's okay. Sometimes if somebody else needs that, right. And being able to reflect and recognize that, even though it was something maybe that I. You know, I did. How big, how small doesn't matter.

Um, but again, allowing others to have that moment, if they feel like they need that moment. And sometimes that's just a thing that needs to happen. Um, I am one of those people that doesn't necessarily like to be praised publicly. You don't have to throw me a party if I do something good or, um, something really cool or whatever it might be. But I do like to be acknowledged. I think a lot of people like to be acknowledged with a, a simple thank you or great job on that thing that you did. Um, just as recognition that somebody saw it, uh, and it gives ourselves a little bit more permission to celebrate within ourselves.

To be excited for ourselves. Um, my dad. Uh, long time ago, probably close to 20 years ago now gave me this, this magnet that I keep. Um, and I actually keep it. On my bathroom mirror. And the reason I keep it there is because it reminds me. Every single day that it's good to let others. To to so let's start here. So here's what the, the magnet actually says. It says you do the impossible. Every day, you warm people with your own brilliant light. And make them believe it is they. Who really shine.

And I believe the author or, and. The illustrator is Jodi Hills. You do the impossible every day. You warm people with your own brilliant light. And make them believe. It is they who really shine. And when he gave me this, I thought, well, that's really nice. Like he's recognizing that I, I do good things for other people. Um, but then I thought. If we all did this. Right. If we all walked around with our own brilliant light. But then gave it to others so that they were able to shine. That's a really big.

An impactful thing that we can do. And sometimes people need it more than we think they do. Or more than we recognize that they do or more than we do, or maybe we need it more than others. Do. Right. So I was thinking about the invisible impact. I was thinking about this thing that happened to me. Um, and how I reacted to it, how I chose to react to it. Right. How I react is within my control. So how I chose to react to it. And I am really proud of myself. And B I'm really happy that I was able to do that for someone.

To allow someone else. To get something that they maybe needed more than I. So I encourage you to do that. More and more, um, take care cadre sphere. This is what I wanted to share with you today. Sometimes I have lots to say sometimes I have little to say. Um, but I wanted to share that moment with you all today. Um, so take care cadre, severe be well. And warm people with a little bit of your light today. Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday. Y'all I'll see you next week.
