Hello, Cadre. It is 7:31pm I'm out of breath. I'm at the gym. As you can tell, I'm just catching up here. Forgive the. out-of- breathness.
Cadre Today evening edition. Shannon is the caregiver for a child with autism. At 8:00pm tonight, Betsy Hodges will be holding some time for people in Minneapolis. No politics, no sides, truly just people gathering to be seen and connect right as humans.
Give me on a scale to 1 to 10. How was your day today? One is. the not amazing day. And 10 is, like, best day all. Not everybody has that. In addition to celebrating our days and honoring our days, we're also here just to be here so that people know they're not alone.
Hello, Cadre. Happy Monday night. It is Shannon from Cadre. It is 7:31pm I'm out of breath. I'm at the gym. As you can tell, I'm just catching up here. So forgive the. Forgive the out of breathness. I just walked up the stairs. All right, so I'm hoping to see some of you join here tonight. So this is Cadre Today evening, just evening edition. And so this is the time of day where we all connect. For those of you who were are a part of the Cadresphere already, you may begin your day with JC Lipold in the morning.
You may have a midday time with Luke in the midday. But this is the time of day where we just connect as people in the Cadre sphere, part of this community. And I just check in and I'm like, how was your day? And as you all know tonight, or many of you might know, I live in St. Paul, Minneapolis, actually, I'm gonna introduce myself because some of you have not met. So my name is Shannon. I am part of the Cadre team. I am someone who live, who lives with anxiety and cptsd. And I'm the caregiver for a child with autism.
And I show up in the code sphere to tell my story so that you all can feel less alone. And I can see that. Rachel MK said, oh, it's worked twice in one day, Rachel. It has. I mean, we are 10 out of 10, right? Like we are rocking this thing. Animeo wow. Cadre has great live streams, you guys. I love this. I love this. Cadre Today evening edition. No, honestly, it's great to see you all. Okay, so as you may or may not know, there's a lot happening in Minneapolis. And so our community is going through a rough time.
It's a national story. And so at 8:00pm tonight, Betsy Hodges, who's actually a Cadre contributor and also a former the former mayor of Minneapolis, is going to be holding some time for people in our local community, frankly our national community, anyone who has any feelings about anything that's going on or needs support is welcome to attend. No politics, no sides, truly just people gathering to be seen and connect right as humans. But I wanted to do my quick touch base before Betsy goes live just to say, how's your day today?
Give me on a scale to 1 to 10. I see some people here. Quinn is here, Rachel is here, Anna is here. I saw some other folks join scale 1 to 10. How was your day today? One is. It was the not amazing day. I didn't want it it wasn't an amazing day. And 10 is, like, best day all. You know, best day ever. I'd love to see your comments. I think my day today, I'm gonna give it like a. I'm gonna give it a seven and a half. I'm gonna give it a seven and a half today. It was. It was a good day in a lot of ways.
I got to see some people I really love working with. And also, it's still. There's like a heaviness. Right. Okay, Rachel, you're coming in with a three today, and that's totally fine. You know, one of the things we talk about on Cadre is there's always going to be ones, twos, and threes, and there's also always going to be eights, nines, and tens. Right. And most of life is in between. Some days we're going to have those ones, twos, and threes. And. Rachel, I'm just glad you're here right now so.
So that we can see you and sit with you in that three. I know for a lot of people in the world, not just in the Cadre sphere, one of the things that I think about a lot, and one of Cadre's core tenets or pillars, as Dr. Cherise says, is obviously community and connection. You know, there are people in this world who don't have families. There are people in this world who don't have networks of people surrounding them or neighbors or people that they can talk to at the end of the day to say, how was your day?
Right. Not everybody has that. And so that's what we're here for. In addition to celebrating our days and honoring our days and doing all the things, we're also here just to be here so that people know they're not alone. Like, we're not alone. We're just not. Rachel, MK that would be you. And that's awesome. And honestly, that was me, too, for a long time, and still is at some times. Right. As you guys probably know, if you're part of this world, loneliness is an epidemic. And a lot of times we think.
I think this is my words. I think that we create shame for ourselves and feel like if we are alone, that that's. That we did something wrong or that something is wrong with us or, you know, that we might be inherently unlovable or not enough. And I would say that I have been there.
