  1. 0:02The end of the year for me always feels really stressful

The end of the year for me always feels really stressful. I use January as my reset. My birthday is the last day of January, and so I really like to launch my year. Think about how I want to reset and relaunch my year in 2026.

Hey, Cadre. I hope you're having a wonderful New Year's Eve. Happy end of 2025. I'm just taking a breath to, like. It feels like a big thing to say, like, end of 2025. I don't know about you, but the end of the year for me always feels really stressful. And it doesn't necessarily feel stressful because there's a lot going on. I mean, there is, right, with holidays and presents and we were traveling. But it feels stressful because of some of the expectations of, like, next year is gonna be the year that everything big happens or whatever.

And it stresses me out a little bit because I just want to kind of sit in the joy of and the grief and the whatever it is of the last year. So if I'm honest, what I've done the last couple of years, and I found this rhythm to be a lot better for me. I wonder if this is something that might resonate with you. Hi, Speak Wonder. Thanks for joining. Instead of selecting my resolutions or my. The word or the focus or whatever, whatever for the next year before the turn of the year. So, like before the end of today, I always do it in the month of January.

So I take the pressure off of myself that I have to do it and make all these plans and decisions before December 31st. Because it always feels like you're getting ready for Christmas and then Christmas happen and that's really busy. And then Christmas happens and then it's really like a crunch. I don't do well with making quick decisions. Something I'm working on. But I also just want to enjoy, like thinking about really what I want my next year to encompass and look like and reflect on that. And so I just used the last week as a more reflective week and a setting up week, a foundational week, to really think about 2026.

In 2026. Yeah. Speak wonder. I love that idea of thinking about more reflective at the end of the year, not amping up for the new one. That's exactly how I've thought about it. Hi, Ms. Shannon Paul. Good to see you on here. So I use January as my reset. My birthday is the last day of January, and so I really like to launch my year. Then I launch it on January 31st. That's when my birth year launches, relaunches. And so I spend the month of January in this state of awe and wonder of what is going to be happening in the year to come.

And I found that to be a little bit of a better rhythm for me because I can sit with it. I can think about really how I hope my year thinking that I had to play small and it's a good challenge. I think I did a lot of those things in this year. I know that I have definitely felt more creative and because my word has been dream and that's guided me, I I've stepped into more creative spaces than I probably would have if I wasn't focused on dreaming in this last year. So I'm taking this as a victory lap.

I'm taking this day and this next month really as a time of honoring that, giving myself some pats on the back, giving myself some grace for things that I maybe think I could have handled better. But I know that I learned and from and really excited about stepping into a reset of new year and thinking about how I want to reset and relaunch my year in 2026. And with that I am going to wrap for today. But I really hope that you all have a wonderful last day of this. I hope that you are doing things that allow you to dream, things that fill your cup and most importantly, here's my reminder that you deserve to rest.

Have a wonderful day. Bye. It. Sam.
