The book is open and the ink is wet. Let's write the first chapter of 2026! Chatting about goals, habits and big dreams.
Christy Larson is a stay at homer on New Year's Eve. Coming to you live from just outside of Danbury, Wisconsin. Snowmobilers are out in full force right now. For those of you that go out, enjoy, be safe, have fun.
The first page of the next 365 pages of what is to be 2026. What will be the title of your 2026? What are you going to write on that first page? And what emotions will that carry?
Hey, Cadre Sphere. Hello, Hello. Come on in, get settled. Welcome. It's 12:30. It's New Year's Eve. Ringing out the old and ringing in the new. For those of you that go out, enjoy, be safe, have fun. I am not a goer outer. I am a stay at homer on New Year's Eve. I like to watch the, the ball drop if I even make it that far. But welcome Christy Larson here. Coming to you live from just outside of Danbury, Wisconsin is where our lake home is. So it was snowing this morning. We didn't get a lot, but we did get a little.
So the snowball, the snowmobilers are out in full force right now. So if you hear any of them tooling around, that's Tis the season, right? This is the, the time of year that they love. And the past couple of years in Minnesota and Wisconsin, we haven't gotten a lot of snow. So they're out and about. Welcome, welcome, welcome. I am here today to talk to you a little bit about the first page of the next 365 pages of what is to be 2026. And as I kind of sat down to think about this, I was thinking about what would my title be?
What would be my first chapter, what would be my first page, right? What is tomorrow's first blank slate page going to look like? And it really kind of got me thinking about a lot of things just in terms of what I want to do and the big dreams and the big goals that I have. But what's your title? Right? What do you, what, what will be the title of your 2026? What will be the first, the title of the first chapter? What are you going to write on that first page? And what emotions will that carry? And that really.
Cadre asked me what my word of the 2026 year was going to be and my wor. Abundance. I feel like it is a very strong word and encompasses many, many things. An abundance of gratitude and encouragement and friendship and support and stillness and goodness and an abundance of growth and understanding. It can come in so many different ways, shapes and forms. And so that's going to be the title of my book is Abundance. And I really want to think every single day about the gratitude in my life, the abundance of things that I, I have big, big plans, big ideas for 2026.
I think about 2026 as kind of a another year to do some of the things that maybe I didn't get to do in 2025 or a do over of some of the things that Maybe I'd like to retry from 2025. And because I have these big ideas and want to make these big impacts, I have to think about breaking those down and making sure that I start where I am and recognizing that I might not be quite ready to do some of those things right now. Right now. Right now. Right. Like, thinking about it in terms of 2026 is 365 days.
And we don't always have to start things right away. We can think about, take our time, plan them out. I have a hard time breaking down big things, big goals, big dreams, big ideas into smaller, more tang tangible items. And that's tough for me. That's hard for me to do. And so 2025, for many of you, if you've been with me before, You've known that 2025 came with its ups and downs and I'm ready to let it behind me. I'm ready to move forward into kind of doing some, some new things. But I also have, you know, emotions that come with that.
Right? Emotions with moving into a new year. And that can be anxiety, that can be fear, nervousness can also be excitement, encouragement, and thinking about it in a variety of different ways. And with each one of those emotions obviously comes with a whole host of other things. Right. But I'm really excited for 2026 and I've started kind of compiling a list of the people, the places, the values, the communities, the habits that I want to bring with me. And I encourage you to do the same. Right.
What do you want to bring into 2026? What is something that you think about? And you. These are the people, or these are the values that I want to continue to uphold, or these are the communities I want to continue to be part of, continue to support. And that list can be really long or it can be really short, depending on what you want to carry with you. Right. Last week I talked about carrying a backpack and the things that you have to carry for, let's say a full year. What do you want to carry with you?
What do you want to bring along? Could be people, could be products, could be places, could be things, could be emotions, could be feelings, whatever it might be. But thinking about some of those things that maybe you want to bring bring with you into 2026. So think about what's on your list, think about who's on your list and really take care. Cadre sphere. Be well and remember that Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Make sure you write a good one. Hey, Cadre sphere. Hey, Cadresphere.
Hey, Cadre sphere. I am late. I just realized that.
