Hundreds of miles later. Can’t wait to share the journey with y’all!!
Luke: One of my dear friends, Jason Lennox, had this amazing idea. Let's walk 307 miles from west Virginia all the way to Nashville. This 307 is for the 307,000 individuals that lost their lives to suicide, overdose, alcoholism. Luke: When people dream, jump on board. And when people dream and take action, jump.
This message today is for the dreamers. Support those people that are dreaming, show up for those individuals. For all the other individuals that showed up but didn't comment or otherwise, thanks for showing up.
What's up, everybody? It's Luke here. Happy Monday to you and yours. Wow, did I get burnt today? What's up, everybody? I'm just gonna wait until everybody pops in. Oh my gosh, it's so good to be back. I had to channel my inner JC on enoughness. What's up everybody? Hello and happy Monday to you and yours. Like I said, I had to channel a little bit of my inner JC over the last couple weeks here, you know, talking about enoughness and, you know, making sure that I was okay with not going live on those two different days.
And what do I mean by that is, you know, for 125 consecutive weeks, I've missed two live streams, right? 125 weeks I missed two live streams. So, you know, I just listen to JC in my brain go, you know, enoughness. It's okay. This is what I'm here for. Now I'm on this big walk. This is the most important thing. This is why I'm here. I also just wanted to let everybody know that we're in the middle of kind of nowhere, south Tennessee. So right now. So if it goes sideways or it cuts in and out, I just want to make you all aware it's a WI FI issue.
It's. It's just. It is what it is. So I'm hoping that it'll be okay. But what I wanted to send a message today about was this. When people dream, jump on board. Ready, guys? When people dream, Jump on board. And when people dream and take action, jump. I'll give you an example. One of my dear friends, Jason Lennox, had this amazing idea. And his idea was, you know, let's walk 307 miles from west Virginia all the way to Nashville, which turned out to be a h*** of a lot more than 307 miles as the crow flies.
Yes, but around to the side and making sure that we can do that. It's substantially more than that. But so he set this all up and he probably got it going in about 90 days, which was, you know, building a campaign, targeting a campaign, building a non profit, getting this all set up for this campaign called 307. And this 307 is for the 307,000 individuals that lost their lives to suicide, overdose, alcoholism, you name it. And so when he told me all about this and he asked, you know, how would you want to participate?
What does this look like? And I said, I'm in. He's like, what do you mean you're in? And I'm like, I'm in. I'll go with as much as I possibly can. So. And when you, when somebody shows up and somebody says we're going to do this and we're going to make it happen, then we go do it, right? And so at the end of the day, here we are, West Virginia, through Tennessee, through Tennessee, through Virginia, through Kentucky, through Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and back into Tennessee now. So we have the last stretch of mileage to get all the way through to Nashville, which is insanely exciting.
And it'll also feel really good to be, quote, unquote, done with this. But when people dream, and when people dream, other individuals just stay in idea phase and other individuals say, you know what, let's go. And I'm really excited for my friend that he thought of this idea and I'm like, I'm coming with you, man. This is what we're going to do. Let's go after these miles, let's make it happen. Let's make an impact, let's make a difference for those 307,000 individuals that lost their lives. So I just, I really encourage you to follow along on the journey.
Jason, I'm going to tell him to post something here, post live of where you can follow along and what this looks like. But so far, like I said, we went on this big, big, amazing, long dream to help people and support people suffering through this. And I have so much more that I want to share and I will share on my Monday morning live coming up about the journey and what this looks like. But what I want to tell you again is this. There's people that dream it and there's people that do it. And the dream is awesome.
It is amazing, like to dream it and think about it and think about these opportunities and, you know, what, what could be and what is the potential? And then there's other individuals that dream it and say, you know what I'm also going to do, I'm also going to make it happen. And, and I'm gonna take the first step and try the next thing and go after it. And for those individuals that are courageous enough to do it, show up for those people, show up for them and say, I got you, I got your back, I'll help out, I'll try to support, I'll do whatever it takes to help you through.
And so here we are, 20 miles a day, 30 miles a day, 25 miles a day, 30 miles a Day, 25 miles a day. And then you gotta also do whatever it takes. I flew back home to, I had a gala that I had to be a part of. And I went back there. I want to say it was like a week ago Friday. So went back for the gala. I saw my son's soccer, flew back from my son's last soccer tournament and then flew right back away. I missed it. I'm going to be really real with everybody. And I told my wife the same thing, like, I missed being here.
And so, you know, then again, you know, last week we had some. I had some work things. I had a couple things like that, had to participate in a wedding, went back for the wedding, and I immediately flew back. So I could have said, jason, man, I showed up for you. I did what I had to do, but I'm like, all right, I'm coming back. I'm finishing up with you. Let's make it happen. So this message today is for the dreamers. This message is today for the dreamers that pushed in their chips and say, you know what?
I'm gonna try. I'm going to give it a go. I'm gonna make it happen. And I credit Jason, Jason Lennox, who's an unbelievable speaker, motivator, dreamer, that's on every Sunday night here on Cadre that shows up and talks about his recovery journey. For those that don't know, it's a beautiful journey that he's had. And he's one of the individuals that gets the privilege to walk for those 307 when his life could have been very, very different. So my message today is support those people that are dreaming, love those people that are dreaming, show up for those individuals, and you can all make fun of me for my outfit.
I have the f**** pack. I have this. I have the backpack. I got it all. And I don't really care because it's not what you look like when you're banging out 20, 30 miles a day. So, again, to the dreamers, that's what it's all about for those individuals that showed up. Thank you. Rachel, you're amazing. I'm so proud of you for your three miles, speak wonder hi to you, too. Dream big. 30 the amazing Nicholls. Hi. What's up? For all the other individuals that showed up but didn't comment or otherwise, thanks for showing up.
That's half the battle in this life. Peace. You guys have an amazing night. Thanks again. And I just want to say one last time yet again, this is for the dreamers. All right, you guys take care. Peace. Thanks for everything. Bye. Bye.
