Hi, Cadre. Happy Wednesday night. It's Shannon from Cadre. From those of you who don't know me, I'm part of the Cadre team. I'm coming to you unexpectedly tonight with an impromptu live from Cadre headquarters in Minneapolis. I wish I wasn't coming to you live tonight because my topic tonight is not one that I wish we had to speak to, but it is 6, 17, and today, again, coming to you from Minneapolis, we had something really horrible happen in our community today. And so I, we as a Cadre team wanted to speak to it.
And I particularly as a mom and a member of the, you know, I'm a parent whose kids go to schools here in our state. I just wanted to join. And we just wanted to say a couple of things as people who are here to support others and community. So for those of you who don't know what happened today, and also, it's okay if you don't today in our community here in Minneapolis, there was a school shooting this morning. And for those of you who are not part of the Cadre community regularly, we are not political.
We are not religious based. We don't talk about politics, we don't talk about religion. We talk about supporting each other. And so tonight, sorry, it's so loud. I'm outside at a park tonight. We are here just to say a couple of things. And I'm speaking on behalf of Cadre, but I'm also speaking on behalf of humans and parents and all of you. We just wanted to say, number one, we're here. So if you are a person who has lived through something, if you are in Minneapolis and this is something that's touching you today, whether you are a parent, whether you are a sibling, whether you are a community member, whether you are someone you know was touched by this, whether you're someone who has had a past experience that this is triggering for, right, whether you are someone who is just a human being, who is deeply feeling the sorrow that is naturally part of what it means to witness something like this tragedy happening.
We wanted to speak about it to let you know you're not alone, to let you know Cadre has access to resources. We have partners like St. Croix Hospice, who, yes, is a hospice organization who also has grief counselors on their staff. We have clinicians on our platform, like Dr. Charisse Johnson, who deals with trauma. We have lots and lots of clinicians, coaches, folks who are here, peers who are here to support you if you need someone to listen to you. We are here to support each other. If you need to pop anything in the comments right now and just say, this is touching me.
This is making me feel. Feel this. Right? Whatever today's shooting elicits in you as a community member, a parent, just a human in the world, whatever that is, that's okay. Because this is the kind of stuff that we need each other for. So I'm on a run right now and I pulled over, I pulled over, I sat down for a minute because one of the thoughts that came into my head as I was running and I ran past a Target store and I saw all these different types of people coming in and out. And I thought the sad part of something like today is that I promise you that all of those people, this great collection of people who are on this corner together, who make up the community here in my state where this happened today, I promise you that every single one of those people is going to feel sad about what happened in my community today.
Right. And so that is the humanity that brings us together. And at the same time, something like what happened today happened. Speak, Wonder. You're deeply feeling the sorrow. It's a shockwave every time it is, right? It's kind of like you have to shake yourself and say, is this real? Because it's so surreal. And so I just wanted to again, make sure that you all know there's a space for this. We are here experiencing the sorrow together. No one. There's not a right thing to say. There is not a wrong thing to say.
Nobody knows what to do with this. It's not something we're prepared to deal with, and that's okay. So if you need to hear that, if you need support, reach out to us, reach out to me. Shannondre IO Reach out to Luke. Lukedre IO we can get you support. We can get you whatever you need, whether that's a peer or clinician or just this community. If you need to go and post, do it, please. That's what this is here for. Rachel says same. You didn't hear about it until someone else here mentioned it. I know, right?
It is universally sad. Again, if you are a parent or not a parent, if you are a community member or not a community member. It's just a horrible, horrible thing. Speak, Wonder said, I live five miles from Columbine. Yeah, again, right? Everything is. Doesn't matter where it happens, it's always a loss. Yes. So I just wanted you guys to know you're not alone tonight. We are here in Minneapolis supporting each other, and you all are here supporting each other. And so we just wanted you to know that you're not alone.
If you need anything, we're here. Please continue to post comments. Reach out to any of us. If you need anything, reach out to each other. We appreciate you and we appreciate you for being part of this community that is adding love to the world, support to each other, and that's what we can do together to make a better community and world together. So appreciate you guys all. Good night. Rachel, Speak Wonder. Everyone that's here, thanks for being a part of the Cadre sphere and we will see you soon.
Thinking of you all tonight. All right, bye, guys. Have a great one.
