A lot of what we rely on for our perception in this world is stories. I want to talk about how that's important. And I think that a lot of the problems that I see people deal with when it comes to stigma. There would be less if we all agreed to just take a moment.
Stories. A lot of what we rely on for our perception in this world is stories. Yes, that's something I do. I'm a pastor, so a lot of what I do is tell stories to people, and I just did that this morning. And in church we call them parables sometimes. And so I like to get all perspectives on a story. And I think it's important because when we learn things about other people secondhand, I think we got to slow things down and see all of the angles. And that's something that I want to talk about today.
I want to talk about how that's important. It's important to me in the work that I do. And I think that a lot of the problems that I see people deal with when it comes to the stigma that they carry around with their mental health condition or maybe with addiction or any other type of stigma that you're carrying around with you, I think there would be less if we all agreed to just take a moment.
