Hi, Cadre. How's everyone today? Welcome to the Marigold Grief gathering. We meet here every Friday. And I'm Rebecca, co founder of Marigold. We're a grief wellness platform, and we really root all of our work in culture, food, and storytelling today, I just want to check in with you. How is everyone feeling? How are you tending to your heart today? I know there's a lot going on this month, at least where I'm located in the United States. There's, you know, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and lots of graduations, lots of transitions happening.
And I've been noticing in my own experience that with all of these celebrations and transitions happening, a lot of grief can be brought up, but it feels like there's nowhere to put it. And I want to encourage you today to be honest. You know, when people are asking you, how are you? It's okay to say how you really are and let people know that I'm not feeling so hot today or I'm struggling with some things. This has become a practice of mine over the past couple of years. You know, I really started to see how I would just default to saying, I'm good.
How are you? Right. How many times do you do that when people ask you how you are? And then I've noticed that that question can kind of make us feel, like, frozen when we're asked that. Especially people who are in grief, people who have anxiety and are dealing with big emotions and big. Just kind of open the door that this is an amazing practice to bring into your lifestyle when you're going through things that I've been through similar things, and especially during these times of gatherings and celebrations, because our grief is always with us.
Right. And embracing it into who we are and how we are in the world helps us to transition to living a more vibrant, honest, and enlivening experience. I would love to hear from you. You know, what do you do when someone asks you how you are and you're feeling down and you don't want to just brush it off and say, I'm fine. I hope that everyone has an amazing weekend, and you get in a chance to offer yourself some rest and do something pleasurable, tend to your heart, and just love on yourself a little bit.
Take it easy, and we'll see you next week on Friday. Bye, Cadre.
