A short reflective message from Sacramento Airport about meeting people where they are and trusting that moments, supports and small resources help things work out; encourages continuing through current moments and looks ahead to future episodes.
The speaker opens from Sacramento International Airport, greets the Cadre community, and acknowledges that viewers may be in different time zones or mindsets. This orients the audience and sets a welcoming, inclusive tone for the short episode.
The core message emphasizes that the group meets people wherever they are and that our present state is sufficient. The host reflects on uncertainty about outcomes but reassures listeners that, through resources and small supports, things generally work out even if imperfect.
The host notes seeing a viewer comment (Luke) as an example of moments resolving, then invites listeners to keep working through whatever they're facing. The segment closes with a sign-off and a promise of future Cadre Today episodes from different locations.
Hey cadre, how are we doing? It is Wednesday and it's 12:15 in the afternoon where I am at the Sacramento International Airport. But it may be another time where you are, either because you're in a different time zone, you're in a different state of mind, you're watching this maybe not live. And that's the beautiful thing about this cadre. the special group of people with a special intention. We meet each other wherever we find ourselves. Right? We meet each other wherever we are. Think about that for a moment.
Right? How often is it, oh, we meet you where you're at? No, right? We meet others in our current state because our current state is always indeed enough. And it works out. Like I am As you notice, if you've tuned in before to Cadre today, I always have to take a moment to go, wait, where am I? What time is it? What day is it? What's going on here? Because it takes a moment for us to acknowledge where we are. it's a fun life to go. I'm in Sacramento and I was taking my calls this morning and I got to hang out with really cool people and help them consider how they're leading their organization yesterday.
And tomorrow I'll be back home rocking with some senior citizens and I'll be back in Minnesota where the weather's different and where my dogs are and everything is always setting up exactly where we are. And we may look ahead and go, gosh, how is this thing going to work out? And it does. It may not work out the way that we always want it to. It's not like sunshiny, but we're in a place where we know that we always have some resource, some space, some reminder, some cup of coffee, some song, some motivational quote, some mistakes, some stumbles, some struggles, some falls, some new enlightening thing that gets us through, some diversion, some distraction that gets us to that next place.
Hey Luke, nice to see you my friend. Even in that moment, you could see all of a sudden I saw Luke comment and I was like, and all of a sudden, it worked its way through. This moment always does. My invitation for you today is to continue working through the moments that you're in. Because you will get through them, and there will be another one. Just like there will be another cadre today, tomorrow, coming to you from Minnesota, rather than Sacramento. Where will we be next? Wherever you are.
