The host opens with a warm Monday morning greeting, points out the Ferris wheel and grandstand at the Minnesota State Fair, and sets a friendly tone for the video.

  4. 2:31Invite to honor uniqueness

Using his state fair ritual with his mom as an example, he invites viewers to recognize and cherish their own special habits while resisting the urge to impose them on others, arguing that honoring uniqueness helps the world progress.

  5. 3:18Closing

A brief farewell as the host wishes viewers a good day and says goodbye.

Hey, good morning, cadre. I hope you're doing great on this Monday morning. You can see the Ferris wheel behind me and the grandstand behind me and the big old parking lots of the Minnesota State Fair, the United States largest state fair in the country. It may not be the biggest state, but by golly, we know how to come together and eat things on sticks. I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you're here. I know the things I know and I care about you. Tradition is a big thing, but funny enough, it's not a big thing for me.

Even though I'm the one who's here every day in the cadre today and I say a lot of things again and again, like I'm glad I'm here, I'm glad you're here, I know the things I know and I care about you, or hey, I hope you're good, but if you're not, that's okay too. You're still incredibly capable, still incredibly worthy, and you're probably still going to accomplish some pretty miraculous things today, right? I'm that guy. It'd be easy to think I'm a big tradition guy. And here's what I mean when I say I'm not a big tradition guy.

There's a personality assessment called the Hogan assessment, Hogan's assessment. And in this assessment, there's what, 10 plus 7 plus another 12. There's like 30 different markers on how they like gauge you as a unique human being. And one of them is tradition. and 100 is the highest score that it can be, and one is the lowest score that something can be. And most things are not 100 or one. Most things are 72 or 29, but I am a one on tradition. People go, oh. But now here's why I'm a one on tradition.

Saying that something is a tradition. in a macro way. It's like everybody does X, everybody does this, everybody puts up a Christmas tree, everybody eats hot dogs on the 4th of July, right? I am so anti the belief that everybody does something. I'm the many ways to be well guy, right? That's the whole point of cadre. To say that, yeah, there may be something that is your tradition or your habit, your routine or your liturgy or your special thing, but the most important thing is to go, hey, because something works for you, does not mean it'll work for somebody else.

So on a day like today, where I always go to the state fair with my mom sometime throughout the year, and we get there right, we get here right at the beginning, and we, like it doesn't even open for another 20 minutes, right? There's the line right there. It's our tradition to do this, but it's not everybody's tradition. So my invitation for you today is to go, what are the things that are special to you? and allow them to be special to you. Find your habit, your routine, your specialness, but also resist the urge to go, everybody needs to do this too.

It doesn't work that way. When we honor everybody's uniqueness and specialness, the world gets a lot farther, a lot faster. Y'all, have a good one. Bye.
